Abbie De Quant
Abbie de Quant (born 1946, The Hague) is a Dutch flautist. She taught at the music academies of Amsterdam and Utrecht and had her own bi-annual concert series at the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam. Abbie de Quant studied with Koos Verheul at the Music Academy of Tilburg and graduated summa cum laude in 1970. She took a masterclass at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena with Severino Gazzelloni, where she received the ''Di Onore'' diploma. As a soloist, De Quant has performed with nearly all Dutch orchestras. She won prizes at many national and international competitions. De Quant performs with pianists Elizabeth van Malde, Bart Berman, and Bernd Brackman, and with other instrumentalists and vocalists. Among her many students are Caroline Ansink, Karin Bastings, Anne Brackman, Albert Brouwer, Felicia van den End,Herman van Kogelenberg Marilou Krouwel, and Eleonore Pameijer. Fritz Quant
Franz Xaver Friedrich Quant, known as Fritz (18 February 1888 in Trier – 3 November 1933 in Trier) was a German painter, graphic artist and designer. Biography His father was a master cooper and innkeeper. He began his studies with an apprenticeship to the church painter, Peter Thomas (1854–1935). In 1908, he passed the journeyman's examination and found employment as a "painter's assistant" to at the Trier Arts and Crafts School. Four years later, he enlisted in the Army, but served only a short time before being discharged due to a chronic illness. He then continued his education at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig, where he studied etching with Alois Kolb. He was there from 1915 to 1918, when he returned to Trier and took over the painting class from Trümper, who had been drafted into the Landsturm. Jonas Quant, also known simply as Quant, is a Swedish record producer, songwriter and remixer from Gothenburg. In 2010, Quant co-produced English duo Hurts' debut album ''Happiness (Hurts album), Happiness'', which became the fastest-selling debut album of that year by a band in the United Kingdom. Quant has also collaborated with artists such as No Doubt, Kylie Minogue, Leona Lewis, Agnes Carlsson, Petra Marklund and Dolores Haze. As a solo artist, Quant released music in the late 1990s and early 2000s on the Swedish record label Dot. In 2015, Quant helped British pop singer Foxes (singer), Foxes write her second studio album All I Need.
