Abdul Quader Molla
Abdul Quader Molla ( bn, আব্দুল কাদের মোল্লা; 14 August 1948 – 12 December 2013) was a Bangladeshi Islamist leader, writer, and politician of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, who was convicted of war crimes and sentenced to Capital punishment in Bangladesh, death by the International Crimes Tribunal (Bangladesh), International Crimes Tribunal, Bangladesh (ICT) set up by the government of Bangladesh and hanged. There were objections from the United Nations, the governments of several countries, including Turkey, and international human rights organizations but there was widespread support from the general public of Bangladesh for the execution. Ghulam Muhammed Quader ( bn, গোলাম মোহাম্মদ কাদের; born 24 February 1948), better known as GM Quader, is a Bangladeshi politician and the current chairperson of Jatiya Party. He is the incumbent Jatiya Sangsad member from the Lalmonirhat-3 constituency. He served as the Minister of Commerce and Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism from 2009 to 2014. Early life and family Quader was born on 24 February 1948 to a Bengali Muslim family with roots in Dinhata. His parents were Mokbul Hossain and Majida Khatun. Mokbul was a lawyer and served as a minister of the erstwhile Maharaja of Cooch Behar. Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury
Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury (13 March 1949 – 22 November 2015) was a Bangladeshi politician, minister and six-term member of Jatiya Sangsad and member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee, who served as the adviser of parliamentary affairs to Prime Minister Khaleda Zia in from 2001 to 2006. On he was convicted of 9 of 23 charges and sentenced to death by the International Crimes Tribunal of Bangladesh for crimes during the 1971 Bangladesh War of Independence. Giasuddin Quader Chowdhury
Giasuddin Quader Chowdhury is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and a former Jatiya Sangsad member from Chittagong-6 and Chittagong-7 constituencies. Career Chowdhury's candidacy in the 2008 election was cancelled by the returning officer of Bangladesh Election Commission as a court order that cleared him a loan defaulting case did not reach the commissions office before the deadline. In November 2009, Chowdhury's residence was attacked allegedly by Awami League activists. On 20 May 2010, Chowdhury collected nominations papers to contest the Chittagong City Corporation mayoral elections. In September 2010, an arrest warrant was issued against him and his brother, Saifuddin Quader Chowdhury, on a bad check case. Fazlul Quader Chowdhury (1919–1973) was a Bengali politician who served as the 5th speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan from East Pakistan. He belonged to Ayub Khan's Convention Muslim League. He was also the Acting President of Pakistan from time to time when Ayub Khan left the country.
