Quach Boc
Quach (also spelled Quách) is a Vietnamese language, Vietnamese surname: Quách romanized in English: Quach. The name derives from the Chinese surname wikt:郭, 郭, which is pronounced Guo, Guō in Mandarin and ''Kwok'' or ''Gwok'' in Cantonese. In Japanese, the surname Quach is: Kuoko, Kaku or Kuruwa (くるわ/ かく ) and in Korean: Kwak (surname), Gwak (곽). History Quach came from the surname Guo which is believed to have originated from Shanxi province of China. Bao Quach (born September 4, 1979) is an American featherweight professional mixed martial artist who has fought for Bellator, Affliction, M-1 Global, EliteXC, Strikeforce, World Extreme Cagefighting, King of the Cage, and Shooto promotions. Background Quach is originally from Huntington Beach, California, the son of Vietnamese parents, and attended Dana Hills High School where he excelled in wrestling and was a state qualifier. Danh Quach
Quách Nhứt Danh (born May 27, 1939), often referred to as Danh Quach or Danh Nhut Quach, is a Vietnamese American businessman and one of the "pioneers" of Orange County's Little Saigon. Early life Born in Soc Trang, he was a pharmacist in Saigon, Vietnam, but fled in 1975 with his wife, nine-year-old son, seven-year-old daughter, and sister, after the Fall of Saigon brought the Vietnam War to an end. He first settled in Arkansas' Fort Chaffee region before moving to Lincoln, Nebraska, to attend pharmacy school again at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, from which he graduated in May 1977. Helen Quach
Helen Quach ( "quok"; 4 July 1940 – 31 July 2013) was a Vietnamese-born symphony conductor who founded the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra in Sydney, served as the music director of the Manila Symphony Orchestra and guest conducted for symphonies around the world. Quach was educated in New South Wales, where she studied under noted Russian conductor Nikolai Malko. She then took a conducting course from Sir John Barbirolli and Carlo Zecchi in Italy before moving to the US to serve as an assistant to Leonard Bernstein. She is considered as the first Asian female conductor hired by Bernstein in 1967. (The first female conductor hired by Bernstein was Sylvia Caduff in 1960).
