Qilian Airport
Haibei Qilian Airport () is an airport serving Qilian County in Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai province, China. It is located east of the county seat of Qilian. Construction began in July 2014, with an estimated investment of 1.203 billion yuan. Qilian airport was opened on 28 August 2018. It is the seventh civil airport in Qinghai. Qilian Airport is a high-altitude airport located on the Tibetan Plateau, with an elevation of above sea level. Facilities The airport has a 3,400-meter runway, a 3,000 square-meter terminal building, and four aircraft parking places. Qilian County
Qilian County () is a county of Qinghai, Qinghai Province, China. The Haibei Qilian Airport is located in the county. Climate Geographical Qilian County covers an area of 15,700 square kilometers, accounting for 2.05% of the total area of Qinghai, Qinghai Province. Qilian County borders Menyuan Hui Autonomous County to the east, Gangca County, Gungca County and Haiyan County, Qinghai, Haiyan County to the south, and Tianjun County to the southwest. To the north and northwest, it borders Jiuquan, Jiuquan City and Sunan Yugur Autonomous County, Sunan Yugu Autonomous County and Minle County in Gansu Province. Qinghai
Qinghai (; alternately romanized as Tsinghai, Ch'inghai), also known as Kokonor, is a landlocked province in the northwest of the People's Republic of China. It is the fourth largest province of China by area and has the third smallest population. Its capital and largest city is Xining. Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture (; , , Tib.pin.: ''cojang poirig ranggyong kü'') is an autonomous prefecture of northeastern Qinghai Province, China. Xining Caojiabao International Airport
Xining Caojiabao International Airport , also called Caojiapu Airport, is an airport serving Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province, China. It is located in Huzhu County, Haidong, on the Tibetan Plateau about east of downtown Xining. The airport began operation in 1991, and in October 2011 a new 3,800 meter long runway was built to replace the old one. History The first airport of Xining was located west of the current airport near the town of Lejiawan. Built on orders of warlord Ma Bufang in 1931, it started limited civilian use in 1933.
