The Qatar men's national 3x3 team represents the country in international 3x3 basketball (3 against 3) competitions. It is administrated by the Qatar Basketball Federation. Qatar Basketball Federation
The Qatar Basketball Federation ( ar, الاتحاد القطري لكرة السلة) is the governing body of basketball in Qatar. The federation was founded in 1964 and joined FIBA in 1977 and FIBA Asia in 1979. It represents basketball with public authorities as well as with national and international sports organizations and as such with Qatar in international competitions. It also defends the moral and material interests of Basketball in Qatar. It is affiliated with FIBA and FIBA Asia. The federation also organizes the Qatar national basketball team and the Qatar women's national basketball team. Asian Beach Games
The Asian Beach Games, also known as ABG, is a multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. The Games have been organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The Games are described as the second or third largest Asian multi-sport event, after the Asian Games. Its popularity is increasing due to the low cost of temporary venues, with beaches and oceans already available, while spectators and tourists are also already available in sand and sea tourist areas. In its history, six countries have hosted the Asian Beach Games. Forty-five nations have participated in the Games. The most recent Games were held in Danang, Vietnam from 24 September to 3 October 2016, while the next games will be held in 2023 in Sanya, China; the 2023 Games will be the first to break away from the 2-year cycle. 2014 Asian Beach Games
The Fourth Asian Beach Games were held in Phuket Island, Phuket Province, Thailand. The games were originally scheduled for Boracay Island, Aklan, Philippines, but was affected by the OCA's hosting changes. The games were held on the same year of the 17th Asian Games. It was the seventh time for Thailand to host an Asia level multi-sports event, after Bangkok held four Asian Games (1966, 1970, 1978 and 1998), one Asian Indoor Games (2005) and one Asian Martial Arts Games (2009).
