QatarEnergy LNG, formerly Qatargas, is the world's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) company. RasGas Company Limited was a liquefied natural gas (LNG) producing company in Qatar. It was the second-biggest LNG producer in Qatar after Qatargas. RasGas operated seven LNG trains located in Ras Laffan Industrial City. It was merged with Qatargas on 1 January 2018. RasGas also operated helium plants which produce 25% of the world's helium, and make Qatar the second largest helium exporter. Hydrodesulfurization (HDS) is a catalytic chemical process widely used to remove sulfur (S) from natural gas and from refined petroleum products, such as gasoline or petrol, jet fuel, kerosene, diesel fuel, and fuel oils.
