Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh
Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh (; born 12 September 1946) is a Pakistani politician who is currently serving as Federal Minister of Maritime Affairs, in office since 11 March 2024. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, from August 2018 to August 2023. Previously he was a member of the National Assembly from June 2013 to May 2018. Early life He was born on 12 September 1946. Political career At one time, he served as president of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) from Constituency NA-86 (Jhang) in 2013 Pakistani general election. The Ministry of Maritime Affairs ( ur, ), previously known as the Ministry of Ports and Shipping, is a Federal Ministry of the Government of Pakistan. The current Minister for Maritime Affairs is Faisal Subzwari and the current Federal Secretary for Maritime Affairs is Mathar Niaz Rana. General elections were held in Pakistan on Wednesday, 25 July 2018 to elect the members of 15th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies. Captain (R) Shahid Ashraf Tarar ( ur, شاہد اشرف تارڑ) is a BPS-22 Pakistani civil servant who has served as Caretaker Federal Minister for Communications, Maritime and Railways from 17 August 2023 to 4 March 2024. General elections were held in Pakistan on Saturday 11 May 2013 to elect the members of the 14th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies.
