Qabil Ambak
Mohd Qabil Ambak Tan Sri Mahamad Fathil (born 15 January 1980, Kuala Lumpur) is a Malaysian equestrian rider. He competed at five Asian Games and SEA Games in jumping and dressage and earned in total 22 medals. Ambak was qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games after New Zealand withdrew from their spot, but he did not obtained his MER qualification scores before the official deadline, which caused him to lose his Olympic starting place. Biography Qabil Ambak started riding at a young age but started competing in dressage in 1992 on a national level. In 1995 he started show-jumping. Personal life He is married to his wife Jeana Ayla Goh and has three children Maiya Ambak, Rumi Ambak and Enzo Ambak. His brother Quzier Ambak and Quzandria Nur both compete in international jumping and dressage as well. Rawang is a town and a mukim in Gombak District, Selangor, Malaysia, about 23 km northwest of city centre Kuala Lumpur. History Rawang was founded in the early-19th century and was one of Kuala Lumpur earliest satellite towns. During the initial tin mining growth of Kuala Lumpur, many tin mines were explored and opened north of Kuala Lumpur, starting initially at the Ulu Kelang area and gradually moving northwards past Selayang and towards Rawang. The earliest estimates of Rawang's founding date back to 1825. It was the second area in Selangor to be explored for tin mining. The tin mining industry in Rawang developed concurrently at around the same time as the larger tin mines Perak. During the Selangor Civil War of the 1860s and 1870s, Yap Ah Loy's gangs who were aligned with Tengku Kudin repelled Syed Mashor's troops away from Kuala Lumpur and pushed them further north. The 2007 Southeast Asian Games ( th, กีฬาแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ 2007, Kila haeng echiye tawan oak chiyeng tai 2007), officially known as the 24th Southeast Asian Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Nakhon Ratchasima province, Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), Thailand. This was the sixth time Thailand hosted the Southeast Asian Games and its first time since 1995 Southeast Asian Games, 1995. Quzandria Nur
Quzandria Nur Dato' Mahamad Fathil (born 25 April 1982) is a Malaysian equestrian rider. Nur competed at three Asian Games, in Bangkok 1998, Doha 2006 and Guangzhou 2010. In 1998 she was member of the silver winning Malaysian team, in 2006 she won also team silver and in 2010 she won individual silver and team bronze. Nur also competed at three South East Asian Games. In 2001 she won team gold and individual silver, in 2007 again a golden team medal and individual silver, and in 2017 she won individual gold and team gold with the Malaysian team. Her brother Qabil Ambak is also an international dressage and jumping rider who is representing Malaysia. Together they were team members during several Asian Championships. The 1995 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 18th Southeast Asian Games, Chiang Mai, 1995 ( th, การแข่งขันกีฬาซีเกมส์ ครั้งที่ 18 เชียงใหม่ 1995), was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 9 to 17 December 1995. It was the first time that a non-capital city hosted the biennial sports event. Chiang Mai is the second Thai city to host the Southeast Asian Games after Bangkok. The 2001 Southeast Asian Games ( ms, Sukan Asia Tenggara 2001), officially known as the 21st Southeast Asian Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This was the fifth time that Malaysia plays as SEA Games hosts, the country previously held the event in 1965, 1971, 1977, and 1989, all of which were staged in Kuala Lumpur. Held from 8 to 17 September 2001 (although several events had commenced from 1 September 2001), these were the first SEA Games to have taken place in the new millennium.
