AN/FSQ-7
The AN/FSQ-7 Combat Direction Central, referred to as the Q7 for short, was a computerized command and control system for Cold War ground-controlled interception used in the USAF Semi-Automatic Ground Environment (SAGE) air defense network. The name “AN/FSQ” derives from ''Army-Navy / Fixed Special eQuipment''. An advancement of the pioneering MIT Whirlwind II digital computer design, and manufactured by IBM as prime contractor, the AN/FSQ-7 was the largest discrete computer system ever built. Each of the 24 installed machines weighed 250 tons. The AN/FSQ-7 used a total of 60,000 vacuum tubes (49,000 in the computers) and up to 3 megawatts of electricity, performing about 75,000 instructions per second for networking regional radars. Primary functions Installations in the USAF Semi-Automatic Ground Environment (SAGE) air defense network were configured as duplex systems, using a pair of AN/FSQ-7 computers to provide fault tolerance. One was active at any time, the other on ...

Qseven
Qseven, a computer-on-module (COM) form factor, is a small, highly integrated computer module that can be used in a design application much like an integrated circuit component. It is smaller than other computer-on-module standards such as COM Express, ETX or XTX and is limited to very low power consuming CPUs. The maximum power consumption should be no more than 12 watts. Specification The name comes from the word "quadratic" due to the square shape of the original module, 70mm on a side. It was first proposed in 2008 by Congatec. Other companies based in Europe such as Kontron adopted the standard, but after a few years it had not yet been popular in the USA. The Qseven specification is hosted by the Standardization Group for Embedded Technologies (SGET), which took over from the original Qseven consortium in 2013.. The revision 2.0 was released September 9, 2012, and 2.1 on February 25, 2016. The Qseven design guide provides information for designing a custom system carrie ...

French Submarine Farfadet (Q7)
''Farfadet'' (Q7) was the lead ship of her class of four submarines built for the French Navy at the beginning of the 20th century. She was of the Maugas type. ''Farfadet'' accidentally sank in July 1905 at Bizerte with the loss of 14 men of her crew; two men survived. She was later refloated and recommissioned as the ''Follet''. She was stricken in November 1913. Design and construction ''Farfadet'' was ordered by the French Navy under its 1899 building programme. She was designed by Gabriel Maugas, an early French submarine engineer, and was built at the Naval Dockyard in Rochfort. She was single-hulled, and powered by two Sautter-Harlé electric motors, with a power output of 300 cv. ''Farfadet'' was laid down in September 1899, launched on 17 May 1901, and entered service on 29 August 1902.''F ...

LNER Class Q7
North Eastern Railway Class T3, classified Q7 by the LNER is a class of 0-8-0 steam locomotive designed for heavy freight. Five were built by the NER in 1919 and a further 10 by the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) in 1924. Performance The first of the T3s, No.901 was outshopped from Darlington Works in November 1919. A month later the NER organised a test train, over the Newcastle to Carlisle line, including a brake van and the company's dynamometer car to record the locomotive's performance. No.901 had in tow but handled the load with ease, registering both high power and steady acceleration. There were no problems starting on a 1 in 298 (0.335 %) grade and on the return, with a reduced load of , the engine was untroubled by gradients as severe as 1 in 107 (0.93 %). LNER Despite their prowess, the original quintet of T3s was not augmented by the North Eastern Railway, a move that would have pleased footplate crews who disliked having to lubricate and maintain ...

Princess Amalia Wind Farm
The Princess Amalia Wind Farm (Prinses Amaliawindpark in Dutch language, Dutch) is an offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. Prior to its official opening, it was known as the Q7 Wind Farm. Specifications The wind farm lies approximately 23 km off the coast of IJmuiden. It consists of 60 Vestas V80-2.0MW wind turbines and has a total nameplate capacity of 120 megawatt, MW. The wind turbine towers rest on steel monopile foundations, in water depths of 19 to 24 meters. Each monopile is a steel tube with diameter of about 4 meters, length of over 50 meters, weighing 320 tonnes, and driven 30 meters into the seabed. The construction barge ''Sea Jack'' required about 2 hours to drive in each monopile after positioning it. Development Building this wind farm was an initiative of Eneco Energie, Eneco and Econcern. Upon completion, Eneco CEO Jeroen de Haas complained that the required procedures took seven years. By contrast, it only took two years to actually build. Project ma ...

Quran 7
Al-Araf ( ar, ٱلأعراف, ; The Heights) is the 7th chapter (''sūrah'') of the Qur'an, with 206 verses ( āyāt). Regarding the timing and contextual background of the revelation (''Asbāb al-nuzūl''), it is a "Meccan surah", which means it is believed to have been revealed in Mecca. This chapter takes its name from verses 46–47, in which the word ''A'araf'' appears. According to Abul A'la Maududi, the time of its disclosure is about the same as that of Al-An'am, i. e., the last year of the Islamic prophet Muhammad's residence at Makkah: the manner of its admonition clearly indicates that it belongs to the same period and both have the same historical background; however, it cannot be declared with assurance which of these two was uncovered before the other. The audience should keep in mind the introduction to Al-An'am.Abul A'la Maududi - Tafhim-ul-Quran Summary *1-2 Muhammad not to doubt the Quran 3 The people exhorted to believe in it 4-5 Many cities destroyed fo ...
