Péter Prohászka (handball)
Péter Prohászka (born 13 January 1992) is a Hungarian chess grandmaster. Chess career Born in 1992, Prohászka earned his international master title in 2007 and his grandmaster title in 2010. He is the No. 10 ranked Hungarian player as of February 2018. He won the Xtracon Open in 2014 and the Fano Chess Festival twice. In 2017, he tied for first at the prestigious Benasque Open. European U-14 Champion in 2006. Winner of First Saturday October 2006 (1st GM norm) and First Saturday February 2008 (2nd GM norm). Winner of First Saturday November 2009 (3rd GM norm). Vác
Vác (; german: Waitzen; sk, Vacov; yi, ווייצען) is a town in Pest county in Hungary with approximately 35,000 inhabitants. The archaic spelling of the name is ''Vácz''. Once achieved, the title is held for life, though exceptionally it has been revoked for cheating. International Master
FIDE titles are awarded by the international chess governing body FIDE (''Fédération Internationale des Échecs'') for outstanding performance. The highest such title is Grandmaster (GM). Titles generally require a combination of Elo rating and norms (performance benchmarks in competitions including other titled players). Once awarded, titles are held for life except in cases of fraud or cheating. Open titles may be earned by all players, while women's titles are restricted to female players. Many strong female players hold both open and women's titles. FIDE also awards titles for arbiters, organizers and trainers. Illia Ihorovych Nyzhnyk ( uk, Ілля Ігорович Нижник; born September 27, 1996) is a Ukrainian chess grandmaster (2011). Chess career He was born in Vinnytsia (Ukraine) and gained worldwide attention when he won Group B of the 2007 Moscow Open at the age of 10. He attained a nearly flawless score of 8½/9 and his performance rating was 2633, that of a Grandmaster. Cemil Can Ali Marandi (born 17 January 1998) is a Turkish chess player who received the FIDE title of Grandmaster in 2017. Christopher Woojin Yoo (born December 19, 2006) is an American chess grandmaster. He became the youngest International Master in American history in February 2019 until surpassed by Abhimanyu Mishra later in 2019.
