Christopher Yoo (chess Player)
Christopher Woojin Yoo (born December 19, 2006) is an American chess grandmaster. He became the youngest International Master in American history in February 2019 until surpassed by Abhimanyu Mishra later in 2019. Chess career In March/April 2018, Yoo earned clear first place in the Charlotte Chess Center's Spring 2018 IM Norm Invitational held in Charlotte, North Carolina with a score of 6.0/9. Yoo also won the 2020 US Cadet (under-16) Championship. In May 2021, Yoo tied for first place with GM Peter Prohaszka in the Memorial Day 2021 CCCSA GM Norm Invitational tournament with a performance rating of 2600, earning his first GM norm. In September 2021, Yoo won the Labor Day 2021 CCCSA GM Norm Invitational tournament with a performance rating of 2620, earning his second GM norm. Robby Kevlishvili is a Dutch chess grandmaster. Chess career Kevlishvili began playing chess at the age of 4, and finished in second place in the 2013 U-12 World Youth Chess Championship. In the Trinidad and Tobago International Open 2022, Kevlishvili won the Blitz event with a perfect 9/9 score. In the Masters section, he was defeated by local FIDE Master Ryan Harper. Kevlishvili attended Saint Louis University for a major in finance, and played for the university's team in the Collegiate Chess League in 2022 and 2023. The team won both championships. Alejandro Tadeo Ramírez Álvarez (born 21 June 1988) is a Costa Rican-American chess Grandmaster and commentator. At the age of 15, he became the first Central American to achieve the title of Grandmaster and the second youngest chess grandmaster in the world at the time. Born in Costa Rica, he represented Costa Rica before switching to the United States in 2011. Wesley Barbossa So (born October 9, 1993) is a Filipino and American chess grandmaster and 3-time U.S. Chess Champion (in 2017, 2020, and 2021). He is also a three-time Philippine Chess Champion. On the March 2017 FIDE rating list, he was ranked number two in the world and had an Elo rating of 2822, making him the fifth-highest rated player in history.
