Páll Logason
Páll Logason (born 31 January 1986), also known as 'Fermeter' (Square-meter in English), is an Icelandic powerlifter and a strongman from Garðabær. Career Páll was passionate about lifting heavy weights since his teenage years and trained together with the likes of Stefán Sölvi Pétursson, Benedikt Magnússon and a young Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson at the 'Strongman Base' gym. He entered his first powerlifting competition in 2007. At the 2008 World Powerlifting Federation – World Championships in Austria, he totaled 1,000 kg (single ply equipment) and won the Juniors (20–23) category; and the following year at the 2009 World Powerlifting Federation – World Championships in the United States, he improved his total to 1,035 kg and again won the Juniors (20–23) category. Stefán Sölvi Pétursson
Stefán Sölvi Pétursson (born 20 March 1986) is an Icelandic strongman and a finalist of the World's Strongest Man competition, winning 4th place in the 2010 World's Strongest Man competition held in Sun City (South Africa) and 9th place in the 2011 World's Strongest Man competition held in Wingate, North Carolina. He has also won Icelandic Strongman competitions multiple times including Iceland’s Strongest Man in 2009 and 2010. Career Stefán was just 20 when he won his first major senior strongman title, becoming Iceland's Strongest Viking in 2006. Benedikt "Benni" Magnússon (; born 4 June 1983) is an Icelandic strongman and powerlifter. He has held the raw deadlift world record since 2011 with . He also set the world record for the heaviest strongman deadlift in 2014 with , which stood until English strongman Eddie Hall lifted the next year. Garðabær () is a municipality in the Capital Region of Iceland. History Garðabær is a growing town in the Capital Region. It is the sixth largest town in Iceland with a population of 13,872 (Sept 1, 2013). The site of Garðabær has been inhabited since Iceland was first settled in the 9th century.
