Pádraic Maher
Pádraic Maher (born 9 February 1989) is an Irish former Hurling, hurler who previously played for Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship, Tipperary Senior Championship club Thurles Sarsfields GAA, Thurles Sarsfields and at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lined out as a centre-back. Playing career Thurles CBS Maher first came to prominence as a hurler with Thurles CBS. He played in every grade before eventually joining the senior hurling team as a 15-year-old. On 12 March 2005, Maher lined out at full-back when Thurles CBS suffered a 1-11 to 1-06 defeat by St. Flannan's College from Ennis in the Dr. Harty Cup, Harty Cup final. Garda College As a student at the Garda Síochána College in Templemore, Maher immediately became involved with the college's senior hurling team. Tipperary Senior Hurling Team
The Tipperary county hurling team represents Tipperary in hurling and is governed by Tipperary GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Munster Senior Hurling Championship and the National Hurling League. Tipperary's home ground is Semple Stadium, Thurles. The team's manager is Liam Cahill. 2009 Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship
The 2009 Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship was the 119th staging of the Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Tipperary County Board in 1887. The championship began on 12 September 2009 and ended on 18 October 2009. Toomevara were the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Drom-Inch at the semi-final stage. On 18 October 2009, Thurles Sarsfields won the championship after a 0–14 to 0–05 defeat of Drom-Inch in the final at Semple Stadium. It was their 30th championship title overall and their first title since 2005. The 2012–13 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship was the 43rd staging of the All-Ireland championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1970. De La Salle Gaelic football and hurling club is based in Waterford City, Ireland. The club competes in Gaelic games competitions organised by Waterford GAA board. The club has won the Waterford Senior Hurling Championship twice and the Waterford Senior Football Championship on 6 occasions. The Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Hurling Senior Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1964 for the champion hurling teams in the province of Munster in Ireland.
