Putte
Putte () is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality includes the towns of Putte, Beerzel, and the hamlets and . The town of Putte is around east of Mechelen. In 2021, Putte had a total population of 18,109. The total area is 34.96 km2. With an altitude of , the ''Beerzelberg'' in Beerzel is the highest point of the Antwerp province. Putte should not be confused with the homonymous municipality in the region of Kempen, split by the border into Putte, Netherlands and Putte, Kapellen. Putte, Kapellen
Putte is a village on the border between Belgium and the Netherlands. The village is marked by the borders that run through it. The Dutch part is in Woensdrecht, North Brabant. The Belgian part is mostly the municipality of Kapellen and a small part in the municipality of Stabroek, both are in the province of Antwerp. The Nationale Sluitingsprijs, the last road bicycle racing of the season, is held in Putte. History The village became the property of the Duke of Hoogstraten in 1714. In 1828, the village was divided into a Dutch and Belgian part. The main part of the village is on the Belgian side. The population of the village in 2007 was 3,464 people. Putte, Netherlands
Putte is part of the Dutch municipality of Woensdrecht, and had 3751 inhabitants as of 1 January 2008. The village lies on and extends over the border between the Netherlands and Belgium, the Belgian part being Putte, Kapellen. History The village was first mentioned in 1277 as Pitte and means well. Putte developed around the 14th century which is located in Belgium, but whose park is mainly in the Netherlands. In 1839, the border was defined and the village started to develop along the border road. In 1648, at the Peace of Münster, the border between the Dutch Republic and the Spanish Netherlands was drawn through the village of Putte. The Catholic St Dionysius Church was built in 1865. The church was destroyed in 1940 by war. In 1950, the tower was rebuilt. The church was rebuilt in 1953 at a distance from the tower. Ingvar Carlsson (ice Hockey)
Ingvar Åke "Putte" Carlsson (born 16 September 1942) is a retired Swedish ice hockey player and head coach. Career Carlsson played ice hockey for IFK Lidingö in the 1960s and 1970s. After his active career he took up coaching. As an assistant coach, he worked with Leif Boork and managed to lead Djurgården to the Le Mat-trophy in 1983. He became head coach for Djurgården during the 1987–88 season along with assistant coach Lasse Falk. The team became league champions, but was beaten by AIK in the quarterfinals. Carlsson most commonly used tactic was the Neutral zone trap, also known as "1–3–1" in Sweden. After his coaching career, Carlsson became Djurgården's general manager until he became general manager in Djurgården's football department in 2000. He kept his position as general manager until the beginning of 2003. Götrik Frykman
Götrik Wilhelm Adolf "Putte" Frykman (1 December 1891 – 7 April 1944) was a Swedish bandy player and football player who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics. Frykman was part of the Djurgården side that won the Swedish football championship in 1912 and 1915. He also won the Swedish bandy championship in 1908 and 1912 with Djurgården. He was a member of the Swedish Olympic squad in 1912. He played as a midfielder in one match at the consolation tournament. Rudolf "Putte" Kock (29 June 1901 – 31 October 1979) was a Swedish football, ice hockey and bridge player who won a bronze medal in the 1924 Summer Olympics as a football player, being voted the best left winger after the tournament. Putte Wickman (10 September 1924 – 14 February 2006) was a Swedish jazz clarinetist. Career He was born Hans Olof Wickman in Falun, and grew up in Borlänge, Sweden, where his parents hoped he would become a lawyer. He nagged them to allow him to go to high school in Stockholm. When he arrived in the capital he still did not know what jazz was, and said in an interview many years later he was probably the only 15 year-old who did not. Since he did not have access to a piano in Stockholm, he was given a clarinet by his mother as a Christmas present – a life-changing event, as it turned out, as by then he had started to hang out with "the worst elements in the class – those with jazz records".
