Monteswar is a community development block that forms an administrative division in Kalna subdivision of Purba Bardhaman district in the Indian state of West Bengal. History Administrative set up When subdivisions were first formed by the British in 1860, Manteswar was one of the police stations of Kalna subdivision. Purba Bardhaman district is in West Bengal. Its headquarters is in Bardhaman. It was formed on 7 April 2017 after the division of the previous Bardhaman district. 2011 Census Of India
The 2011 Census of India or the 15th Indian Census was conducted in two phases, house listing and population enumeration. The House listing phase began on 1 April 2010 and involved the collection of information about all buildings. Information for National Population Register (NPR) was also collected in the first phase, which will be used to issue a 12-digit unique identification number to all registered Indian residents by Unique Identification Authority of India. Memari is a town and a municipality in Purba Bardhaman district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Geography Location Memari is located at . It has an average elevation of 25 metres (82 feet). Urbanisation 95.54% of the population of Bardhaman Sadar South subdivision live in the rural areas.
