Purdue Boilermakers Baseball
The Purdue Boilermakers baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball program of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, United States. The program's first season was in 1888, and it has been a member of the NCAA Division I Big Ten Conference since the start of the 1906 season. Its home venue is Alexander Field, located on Purdue's campus. Greg Goff is the team's head coach starting in the 2020 season. The program has appeared in 3 NCAA tournaments. It has won one conference tournament championship and 2 regular season conference titles. Michigan Wolverines Baseball
The Michigan Wolverines baseball team represents the University of Michigan in NCAA Division I college baseball. Along with most other Michigan athletic teams, the baseball team participates in the Big Ten Conference. They play their home games at Ray Fisher Stadium. The Wolverines have made the College World Series eight times, winning two national championships in 1953 and 1962. Michigan is the third winningest program in NCAA Division I baseball history, trailing only Fordham and Texas. Doug Schreiber
Doug Schreiber (born August 25, 1963) is an American baseball coach and former second baseman. He is the current head baseball coach of the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons. Schreiber played college baseball at Purdue University. He was the head baseball coach at Purdue University from 1999 to 2016, where he posted a 485–489 record. From 2004 to 2006, Purdue qualified for three consecutive Big Ten baseball tournaments. His 2006 team went 31–27, and defeated #2 North Carolina. In 2001, Purdue finished second in the Big Ten Conference, for its best finish in over 30 years. The 2001 team upset #1 ranked Rice to start the season. Schreiber ranks second in school history in all-time wins, and first in conference wins with 132. From 1995 to 1998, he served as the top assistant coach at Arizona State University. Western Carolina Catamounts Baseball
The Western Carolina Catamounts are the intercollegiate athletics teams that represent Western Carolina University. The Catamounts compete in the NCAA Division I as members of the Southern Conference. Western Carolina fields 16 varsity sports teams. The men's and women's teams are called the Catamounts. Nickname The nickname Catamount derives from The nickname evolved from a contest that was held on campus in 1933. The Texas A&M Aggie baseball team represents Texas A&M University in NCAA Division I college baseball. The Aggies have competed in the Southeastern Conference since 2013. Ward Lambert
Ward Louis "Piggy" Lambert (May 28, 1888 – January 20, 1958) was an American basketball and baseball coach. He served as the head basketball coach at Purdue University during the 1916–17 season and from 1918 to 1946. Lambert was also the head baseball coach at Purdue in 1917, from 1919 to 1935, and from 1945 to 1946. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1960. Early life and playing career Lambert was born in Deadwood, South Dakota. In 1890, Lambert and his family moved to Crawfordsville, Indiana. He played basketball and baseball at Crawfordsville High School and Wabash College, both under coach Ralph Jones, who himself went on to coach Purdue in 1909.
