Evansville Purple Aces Baseball
The Evansville Purple Aces baseball team represents the University of Evansville, which is located in Evansville, Indiana. The Purple Aces are an NCAA Division I college baseball program that competes in the Missouri Valley Conference. They began competing in Division I in 1978 and joined the Missouri Valley Conference in the 1995 season. The Evansville Purple Aces play all home games on campus at Charles H. Braun Stadium. Wes Carroll (baseball)
Wes Carroll (born January 5, 1979) is an American college baseball coach, currently serving as head coach of the Evansville Purple Aces baseball team. He has held that position since the 2009 season. He played at Evansville, becoming the Purple Aces' first ever Freshman All-American. He then went on to a minor league career, reaching Triple-A and playing in spring training games with his brother Jamey Carroll. He then became an assistant coach with the Purple Aces for three seasons before ascending to the top job. Kevin Kaczmarski
Kevin Kaczmarski (born December 31, 1991) is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Mets in 2018. Career Kaczmarski graduated from Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake, Illinois in 2010. After graduating, he enrolled at the University of Evansville where he played college baseball for the Evansville Purple Aces. In 2014, as a junior at Evansville, he batted .315 with four home runs and 50 RBIs in 55 games. He was not selected in the 2014 MLB draft. As a senior in 2015, he played in 46 games and hit five home runs with 57 RBIs and led the nation with a .465 batting average. Kyle Richard Freeland (born May 14, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). Jamey Blake Carroll (born February 18, 1974) is an American former professional baseball infielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals, Colorado Rockies, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals. Andrew Charles Benes (born August 20, 1967) is an American former professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball as a right-handed pitcher from 1989 to 2002, most prominently as a member of the San Diego Padres where he was named to the National League All-Star team in 1993 and led the league in strikeouts in 1994.
