''Punken'' is the debut studio album by American rapper Maxo Kream, released on January 12, 2018, by TSO Music Group and Kream Clicc. The album was produced by Sonny Digital, Beat Boy, Wlderness and rapper $crim of Suicideboys, among others. It also features guest appearances from Trippie Redd, D. Flowers and 03 Greedo. ''Punken'' was supported by three singles – "Grannies", "5200" and "Bussdown". Background On January 3, 2018, Maxo Kream unveiled the album's cover art, tracklist and release date, alongside its pre-order. Promotion Tour On February 7, 2018, Maxo Kream announced an official headlining concert tour to further promote the album titled ''Punken Tour''. The tour began on March 21, 2018, in San Francisco, at Brick & Mortar. He will be supported by Cuz Lightyear. Emekwanem Ogugua Biosah Jr. (born March 29, 1990), known professionally as Maxo Kream, is an American rapper from Houston, Texas. His debut album ''Punken'' was released in 2018, and the follow-up and major label debut, ''Brandon Banks (album), Brandon Banks'', was released in 2019. Maxo Kream is known for his honest lyricism, speaking to his past life living in poor neighborhoods within Houston, Texas. He is a member of the Forum Park "Murda Blocc" Crips. Maxo Kream's older brother, KCG Josh, is also a rapper. Early life Maxo Kream grew up in Southwest Houston. Career Kream is of Nigerian descent through his father, who is a Nigerian immigrant to the U.S. Kream began rapping in high school as part of the group Kream Clicc. SOB's is a live world music venue and restaurant in the Hudson Square neighborhood of Manhattan. S.O.B.’s is an abbreviation of Sounds of Brazil. Larry Gold started SOBs in June 1982, and he currently still owns the space. Gold opened the venue with the purpose of exposing the music of the Afro-Latino diaspora to as many people as possible. It has a standing capacity of 450, and a seating capacity of 160. In its early days, SOBs existed on a barren stretch at the corner of Varick Street and Houston Street, just above the Houston Street subway station.
