Pun Kwok-shan
Pun Kwok-shan, MH, JP (; born 1961) is a Hong Kong politician. He is vice-chairman of the New People's Party and member of Civil Force. He is also a former member of the Sha Tin District Council for Tin Sum. Biography Pun was first elected to the Sha Tin District Council in 2003 in a three-way contest in Tin Sum for local-based Civil Force. He was re-elected in 2007 and retired in 2011. His seat was replaced by Lau Kong-wah, member of both Civil Force and the pro-Beijing Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB), who went on contest the ill-fated 2012 Legislative Council election in the newly created District Council (Second) constituency. Pun returned to the Sha Tin District Council in 2013 Tin Sum by-election when Lau Kong-wah resigned to take the position of Under Secretary of the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs. The Medal of Honour ( zh, t=榮譽勳章; MH) is part of the honours system in Hong Kong. It was created in 1997 to replace the British honours system after the transfer of sovereignty to the People's Republic of China and the establishment of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. 2019 District Council Elections In Hong Kong
The 2019 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 24 November 2019 for all 18 District Councils of Hong Kong. 452 seats from all directly elected constituencies, out of the 479 seats in total, were contested. Nearly three million people voted, equivalent to 71 per cent of registered voters, an unprecedented turnout in the electoral history of Hong Kong. The election was widely viewed as a ''de facto'' referendum on the 2019 widespread anti-extradition protests. Choy Kan-pui, BBS, JP (born 1929) is a former Hong Kong legislator and Sha Tin villager. He ran in the 1982 Hong Kong district boards election representing the Tin Sum village in Sha Tin where he rooted and continued his office until 2003. He was also the chairman of the Sha Tin District Council. He was a member of the Hong Kong Affairs Society, a pro-democratic political group in the 1980s, later turned into the first major pro-democratic party United Democrats of Hong Kong (UDHK). Choy was the founding member of the UDHK but soon later he and Lau Kong-wah quit the party and form a local community organisation Civil Force. He was elected as member of the Legislative Council in Election Committee in the 1995 Legislative Council election in which the electorates were composed of district councillors.
