Auguste Blanqui
Louis Auguste Blanqui (; 8 February 1805 – 1 January 1881) was a French socialist and political activist, notable for his revolutionary theory of Blanquism. Biography Early life, political activity and first imprisonment (1805–1848) Blanqui was born in Puget-Théniers, Alpes-Maritimes, where his father, Jean Dominique Blanqui, of Italian descent, was subprefect. He was the younger brother of the liberal economist Jérôme-Adolphe Blanqui. He studied both law and medicine, but found his real vocation in politics, and quickly became a champion of the most advanced opinions. A member of the Carbonari society since 1824, he took an active part in most republican conspiracies during this period. In 1827, under the reign of Charles X (1824–1830), he participated in a street fight in Rue Saint-Denis, during which he was seriously injured. Aimé Teisseire
Aimé Teisseire (18 December 1914 – 28 June 2008) was a French military officer who fought with the Free French Forces in the African campaign of World War II and later in Europe for the Liberation of France. Wounded multiple times in battle, he was awarded the Croix de Guerre and Order of Liberation. Jean-Pierre Papon
Jean-Pierre Papon (23 January 1734 – 15 January 1803) was an 18th-century French abbot, historian of the Provence and of the French Revolution. Life and work Papon finished school in Turin and at the age of 18 years became an Oratorian. He then taught as a secondary school teacher in Marseille, Riom, Nantes and Lyon. From 1780, he was a librarian in Marseille and a member of the Académie de Marseille. He fled the French revolution into the Cevennes and on 24 February 1796 became a non resident member of the newly (1795) founded Institut de France (Académie des sciences morales et politique). He was also one of the resident members of the Société des observateurs de l'homme. He was one of the authors who prepared the scientific Romance and Provencal linguistics of the 19th century.
