Puffa Puffa Rice
Puffa Puffa Rice was a brand of breakfast cereal produced by the Kellogg Company. Somewhere between Puffed Wheat and Rice Krispies, the product was a form of puffed rice with a sweet, smooth texture and flavoured with brown sugar. Puffa Puffa Rice was introduced in 1967 marketed with a Hawaiian theme and the product shown arriving on a surfboard. In 1972 the box was re-designed to feature a toy steam locomotive. In 1973 it changed again to feature popular puppet character Sooty waving a magician's wand over the cereal. In the US Puffa Puffa Rice was abruptly phased out during 1975. Puffed Wheat
Puffed grains are grains that have been expanded ("puffed") through processing. They have been made for centuries with the simplest methods like popping popcorn. Modern puffed grains are often created using high temperature, pressure, or extrusion. People eat puffed grains in many ways, but it can be as simple as puffed grain alone and with sugar or salt for taste. Commercial products such as corn flakes and Corn Pops mix many ingredients into a homogeneous batter. The batter is then formed into shapes then toasted and/or extruded. This causes them to rise, but not puff or pop. Puffed grains can be healthful if plain, but when other ingredients are mixed with them they may lose some of their health benefits. Rice Krispies
Rice Krispies (known as Rice Bubbles in Australia and New Zealand) is a breakfast cereal, marketed by Kellogg's in 1927 and released to the public in 1928. Rice Krispies are made of crisped rice (rice and sugar paste that is formed into rice shapes or "berries", Cooking, cooked, Drying, dried and toasted), and expand forming very thin and hollowed out walls that are crunchy and crisp. When milk is added to the cereal the walls tend to collapse, creating the "Snap, Crackle and Pop, snap, crackle and pop" sounds. Rice Krispies cereal has a long advertising history, with the elf cartoon characters Snap, Crackle and Pop touting the brand. Sooty
Sooty is a British children's television media franchise created by Harry Corbett incorporating primarily television and stage shows. The franchise originated with his fictional glove puppet character introduced to television in 1955, with the franchises focused around the adventures of the character – a mute yellow bear with black ears and nose, who is kind-hearted but also cheeky, performs magic tricks and practical jokes, and squirts his handler and other people with his water pistol, including on other television programmes he guest stars on. The Norman Conquests
''The Norman Conquests'' is a trilogy of plays written in 1973 by Alan Ayckbourn. Each of the plays depicts the same six characters over the same weekend in a different part of a house. ''Table Manners'' is set in the dining room, ''Living Together'' in the living room, and ''Round and Round the Garden'' in the garden. The plays were first performed in Scarborough, before runs in London and on Broadway. A television version was first broadcast in the UK during October 1977. Outline The small scale of the drama is typical of Ayckbourn.
