Puerto Morín
Puerto Morín is a Peruvian village and a beach located in Virú District, in La Libertad Region. It is located about 45 km south of Trujillo city. Puerto Morín is located within the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Santa Elena, locality of Virú. History The Guañape cove at the end of the nineteenth century, was a beach where people came to fish. It was from the construction of a small dock made by the Frenchman Carlos Marie Morin Dutot with the help of the inhabitants of the place when it acquired its present name of Puerto Morin, Morin Dutot arrived in the country in the 1870s. Marcahuamachuco
Marcahuamachuco is an archeological site of Pre-Incan ruins in the La Libertad Region of Peru. Although less well-known than other sites, it is considered significant and has been referred to by archaeologists as " Machu Picchu of the North" and "The Jewel of La Libertad." History Construction of Marcahuamachuco began around AD 400, during the Andean Middle Horizon period and continued until approximately 800 AD. Trujillo Marinera Festival
Trujillo Marinera Festival is a Peruvian cultural event held annually in Trujillo city in January. The event focuses on a dance contest called the marinera, a typical dance of the city and of the country. The festival also presents parades, presentations and competitions of Peruvian paso horses. Both the marinera dance and the Peruvian paso horse have been declared to be part of the ''cultural heritage of the nation'' by the Peruvian government. Lake Conache
Lake Conache is located in the village of Conache, in Laredo District, near Trujillo in the Peruvian region La Libertad. Virú Culture
The Virú culture (alternatively known as the ''Gallinazo'') was a pre-Columbian, pre-Inca culture that flourished in the Virú Valley on the northwest coast of Peru. It marks the start of the Early Intermediate Period of Peru, dating roughly around 200 BCE. This North Coast culture was based in the Virú Valley and extended into the Moche and Santa Valleys as well. The Virú Valley is on a coastal landscape which consists of a narrow land strip boarded by the Andes Mountains to its east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. The capital of the Virú valley during this time period was an urban area called the ''Gallinazo Group site''. Víctor Larco Herrera also called commonly Víctor Larco is a district and a city of the north coast of Peru. It is located on a plain along the Pacific Ocean and is linked by a conurbation with Trujillo in La Libertad region. Moche (culture)

Huanchaco
Huanchaco is a popular seaside resort city in province of Trujillo, Peru. Huanchaco is known for its surf breaks, its caballitos de totora and its ceviche, and is near the ancient ruins of Chan Chan.
