Psychoderelict
''Psychoderelict'' is a concept album written, produced and engineered by Pete Townshend. Some characters and issues presented in this work were continued in Townshend's later opus ''The Boy Who Heard Music'', first presented on The Who's album '' Endless Wire'' and then adapted as a rock musical. ''Psychoderelict'' is Townshend's sixth and most recent solo album to date. History Released in 1993, ''Psychoderelict'' is a rock opera conceived by Townshend in 1991 as the follow-up to '' The Iron Man'', but despite having recorded several demos, a bicycle accident in September 1991 forced him to delay work on the album until his wrist was able to heal properly. Peter Dennis Blandford Townshend (; born 19 May 1945) is an English musician. He is co-founder, leader, guitarist, second lead vocalist and principal songwriter of the Who, one of the most influential rock bands of the 1960s and 1970s. Townshend has written more than 100 songs for 12 of the Who's studio albums. ''The Boy Who Heard Music'' is a rock opus that began life as an Internet novella written by musician and songwriter Pete Townshend. Townshend wrote in the foreword to the novella that he typically sketches out his opera in this way to lay out the plots and storylines, but in this case he published the material on an Internet blog site in 2005 and 2006, opening an interactive discussion with readers. "English Boy" is a song by Pete Townshend, released as the first and only single from his 1993 album ''Psychoderelict''. The song is used to introduce the character Ray High, as well as journalist Ruth Streeting, host of ''Street on the Street''. Townshend has said the song is about "the emergence of the modern punk", and has been referred to as the focus point for the entire album. Lifehouse (rock Opera)
''Lifehouse'' is an unfinished science fiction rock opera by The Who intended as a follow-up to ''Tommy''. It was abandoned as a rock opera in favour of creating the traditional rock album ''Who's Next'', though its songs would appear on various albums and singles by the Who, as well as Pete Townshend solo albums. In 1978, aspects of the Lifehouse project were revisited by the Who on ''Who Are You''. In 2000, Townshend revived the Lifehouse concept with his set ''Lifehouse Chronicles'' and the sampler ''Lifehouse Elements''. On 1 May 2007, he released an online software called '' The Lifehouse Method'' in which any "sitter" could create a musical "portrait". The site is now defunct. The Who
The Who are an English rock band formed in London in 1964. Their classic lineup consisted of lead singer Roger Daltrey, guitarist and singer Pete Townshend, bass guitarist and singer John Entwistle, and drummer Keith Moon. Who Are You (The Who Song)
"Who Are You" is the title track on The Who's 1978 album, ''Who Are You'', the last album released by the group before Keith Moon's death in September 1978. It was written by Pete Townshend and released as a double-A-sided single with the John Entwistle composition " Had Enough", also featured on the album. The song was one of the band's biggest hits in North America, peaking at number 7 in Canada and at number 14 in the United States, and has become one of the band's signature tunes at their live shows. Jody Linscott
Jody Linscott is an American session musician and percussionist who resides in England and maintains an extended discography. She has two daughters Kachina Dechert and Coco Linscott and has written two children's books which were published by Doubleday, both edited by Jackie Onassis. Linscott has written several songs to accompany the books. Early days Jody Linscott was born in the United States, but went to England on a holiday in 1971 and never returned. John Douglas "Rabbit" Bundrick (born November 21, 1948 in Houston, Texas) is an American–English rock keyboardist. Ian Broudie
Ian Zachary Broudie (born 4 August 1958) is an English musician and singer-songwriter from Liverpool. After emerging from the post-punk scene in Liverpool in the late 1970s as a member of Big in Japan, Broudie went on to produce albums (sometimes under the name Kingbird) for artists including Echo & the Bunnymen, the Fall, the Coral, the Zutons and the Subways. Around 1989, he began writing and recording under the name Lightning Seeds, releasing the album ''Cloudcuckooland'' through Rough Trade on the independent label Ghetto Records, eventually putting together a live touring band in 1994.
