Proposition (party)
Proposition ( uk, Пропозиція) is a Ukrainian political party founded in 2020 by the mayors of six major cities: Borys Filatov of Dnipro, Andriy Raykovych of Kropyvnytskyi, Oleksiy Kaspruk of Chernivtsi, Oleksandr Senkevych of Mykolaiv, Andriy Dyachenko of Kakhovka, and Serhii Sukhomlyn of Zhytomyr. The party has been nicknamed the "Party of Mayors". History The Proposition party is the successor to the New European Ukraine political party, which was registered in December 2014. The New European Ukraine party did not take part in the 2015 Ukrainian local elections, nor in the 2019 Ukrainian parliamentary elections. The party's name was changed to Proposition in April 2020 when Andry Pylchenko from Dnipro became its new leader. Pylchenko was a former member of the political council of the party UKROP. Kakhovka ( uk, Кахо́вка, ) is a port city on the Dnieper River in Kakhovka Raion, Kherson Oblast, of southern Ukraine. Denys Anatoliyovych Shmyhal ( uk, Денис Анатолійович Шмигаль; born 15 October 1975) is a Ukrainian politician and entrepreneur who is the current Prime Minister of Ukraine since 2020. Prior to his appointment as prime minister, Shmyhal was the governor of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast and an acting vice prime minister in the Honcharuk Government. Andry Pylchenko
Nicolas Andry de Bois-Regard (1658 – 13 May 1742) was a French physician and writer. He played a significant role in the early history of both parasitology and orthopedics, the name for which is taken from Andry's book ''Orthopédie''. Early life and career Andry was born in Lyon, and spent his early life preparing for the priesthood. 2019 Ukrainian Parliamentary Election
Snap elections to the Ukrainian parliament were held on 21 July 2019. Originally scheduled to be held at the end of October, these elections were brought forward after newly inaugurated President of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dissolved parliament on 21 May 2019, during his inauguration. The election result was the one-party majority, a novelty in Ukraine, for President Zelenskyy's Servant of the People party with 254 seats. 2015 Ukrainian Local Elections
On 25 October 2015 local elections took place in Ukraine. The elections were conducted a little over a year since the 2014 2014 Ukrainian local elections, snap local elections, which were only held throughout parts of the country. A second round of voting for the election of mayors in cities with more than 90,000 residents where no candidate gained more than 50% of the votes were held on 15 November 2015.
