''Project Runway Season 13'' is the thirteenth season of the television show ''Project Runway'', appearing on Lifetime. The season began airing on July 24, 2014, with 19 designers competing to become "the next great American designer." In addition, Amanda Valentine, a designer from Season 11, returned to compete once again for the grand prize. Valentine was voted back by fans in an online poll, winning against Alexander Pope and Ken Laurence, both of Season 12. Supermodel Heidi Klum, Marie Claire creative director Nina Garcia, and fashion designer Zac Posen all returned as judges this season. Tim Gunn maintained his role as the workroom mentor. Aldo was the exclusive retail sponsor for Project Runway's 13th season and has merchandised the accessory wall with an assortment of products. Hannah Lander, also known as Hernàn Lander, is a New York City based Dominican Republic fashion designer. Her designs have been featured in Model Latina and worn by celebrities such as Olivia Munn. She was selected as 2010's "Breakout Designer" by Time Out (magazine), Time Out magazine. Education Lander attended Altos de Chavón design school in the Dominican Republic. She obtained a full scholarship to study at the Parsons The New School for Design in Manhattan. Career Lander worked for renown Mexican designer Rogelio Velasco during an internship at his design house, Velasco Couture. Lander has also collaborated with other designers including Derek Lam, Proenza Schouler, and Ralph Lauren.
