Reality television is a genre of television programming that documents purportedly unscripted real-life situations, often starring unfamiliar people rather than professional actors. ''Project Runway Australia'' 3 is the third season of the reality competition Project Runway Australia, airing on Arena. It premiered on 4 July 2011. Overview Several changes have been made to the judging panel this season. It was announced on 10 January that model and actress Megan Gale will replace Kristy Hinze as host and main judge. Sunny Fong
Sunny Fong (born April 27, 1976) is a Canadian fashion designer and graduate of Ryerson University, who owns VAWK, a clothing brand. Fong said he developed his love of design from his mother, who made costumes for Las Vegas performers. He lives in Toronto, Ontario. Career In 2009, he won the second season of ''Project Runway Canada''. His collection from this competition was showcased at LG Fashion Week. In both 2009 and 2010, Fong began the showings of his collections before the official start of LG Fashion Week, showcasing his work at Walker Court of the Art Gallery of Ontario. The Global Television Network (more commonly called Global, or occasionally Global TV) is a Canadian English-language terrestrial television network. Slice is a Canadian English language discretionary service channel owned by Corus Entertainment. Iman Abdulmajid (born Zara Mohamed Abdulmajid; so, Zara Maxamed Cabdulmajiid, 25 July 1955) is a Somali supermodel, actress, and entrepreneur. A muse of the designers Gianni Versace, Thierry Mugler, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, and Yves Saint Laurent, she is also noted for her philanthropic work. Alexandre Herchcovitch (, born 21 July 1971) is a Brazilian fashion designer. His designs have been at fashion shows in New York, Paris, London and São Paulo Fashion Weeks. Best known for avant-garde designs and eclectic prints, his trademark skulls became an icon of Brazilian youth in the 1990s. Early life Herchcovitch was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He is of Jewish descent; his grandparents immigrated to Brazil from Poland and Romania. He had his first contact with fashion through his mother, Regina, at the age of 10, when she gave him basic lessons of modelling and sewing at Herchcovitch's request. Regina started to wear the clothes he made in parties, which led him to sell his collections to friends. Adriane Kelemen Galisteu Iódice (born April 18, 1973) is a Brazilian actress, TV host and former model. Biography Galisteu was born in the city of São Paulo, daughter of Alberto Galisteu and Emma Kelemen, and lived until she was 18 years old in Lapa, a neighborhood in São Paulo. ''Projeto Fashion'' was a Brazilian reality television show based on the American program ''Project Runway'', wherein fashion designers compete by making specific garments for weekly challenges. The show features Adriane Galisteu as the host, and Susana Barbosa and Reinaldo Lourenço as judges. Alexandre Herchcovitch acts as a mentor to the contestants, as Tim Gunn does in the American version. The winner of ''Projeto Fashion'' receives R$100,000 to start his own line, a new car and an editorial feature in the Brazilian edition of ''Elle'' magazine. The series premiered on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at 10:30 p.m. on Band. On December 17, Cynthia Hayashi won the competition over Helena Wen and Talita Lima, who took second and third place respectively.
