Project Kill
''Project: Kill'' is a 1976 American action film directed by William Girdler and starring Leslie Nielsen before he began doing comedies. It is distributed by Troma Entertainment and Digiview Productions and was filmed in the Philippines in 1975. Plot Nielsen plays John Trevor, who for six years has been training and leading a team of highly trained special forces men (Code Name: ''Project: Kill'') whose performance is enhanced by drugs. Over time Trevor realises that his men, who work independently, are being used as assassins rather than to protect government installations and individuals. Trevor relates his worries to his second-in-command Frank Lassiter (Gary Lockwood), then decides to escape from his secret government base to the Philippines where two of his former comrades in arms reside. William Girdler
William Girdler (October 22, 1947 – January 21, 1978) was an American filmmaker. In a span of six years, from 1972 to 1978, he directed nine feature films in such genres as horror and action. Girdler also wrote and produced three of his features, ''Abby (film), Abby'', ''Sheba, Baby'' and ''The Manitou''. Career Girdler, born in Louisville, Kentucky, started Studio One Productions in his early 20s and directed his first feature, a low-budget film entitled ''Asylum of Satan'' which was briefly released to theaters. Girdler's second effort was a slasher thriller entitled ''Three on a Meathook''. Both ''Asylum of Satan'' and ''Three on a Meathook'' were filmed in his hometown, and although both films received little notice, they got the attention of Samuel Z. Carlos Salazar (actor)
Rustico Roldan (October 26, 1931 – April 7, 2022), professionally known as Carlos Salazar was a Filipino actor and a matinee idol in the 1950s. A contemporary of the likes of Delia Razon, Rosa Rosal, Jaime Dela Rosa and Nestor de Villa, Roldan took up the screen name of Carlos Salazar and began his career with LVN Pictures, and made several hit movies. Victor Sunico Diaz'', popularly known as Vic Diaz, (July 29, 1932 – September 15, 2006) was a Filipino character actor who mostly portrayed villains. He was also the father of Teddy Diaz, the founding guitarist of the Filipino Rock band The Dawn. Career Diaz first part in front of the camera was an uncredited role as a Japanese General in ''American Guerrilla in the Philippines'' (1950) directed by Fritz Lang.
