Progresso Da Lunda Sul (handball)
Progresso da Lunda Sul was an Angolan sports club from Saurimo, the capital city of Lunda Sul province. The club was an affiliate of Progresso do Sambizanga and shares the same outfit colours. Originally established as Progresso do Sambukila, the club changed its name in 2014 to its current denomination. The club was owned by Angolan businessman Ernesto dos Santos Lino aka Santos ''Bikuku''. In 2014, the club won the 2014 Angolan second division Group B thus being promoted to the 2015 Girabola. Estádio das Mangueiras is a football stadium located at the Dr. Agostinho Neto neighborhood in the city of Saurimo, Lunda Sul province, Angola. The state-owned stadium is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches, on club level by Progresso da Lunda Sul of the Girabola. The stadium has a capacity of 7,000 spectators. Paulo José Lopes de Figueiredo (; born 28 November 1972) is an Angolan retired footballer who played as a central midfielder. He spent the bulk of his 17-year professional career with Santa Clara, amassing Primeira Liga totals of 97 matches and eight goals during three seasons (eight in total with the club). An Angolan international for five years, Figueiredo earned 38 caps and represented the nation at the 2006 World Cup and two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments. Club career Figueiredo was born in Malanje, Portuguese Angola to Portuguese settlers, moving to the land of his parents at the age of three. Bavon Tshibuabua (born 17 July 1991) is a Congolese former professional footballer who played as a forward. Career Tshibuabua was born in Antwerp, Belgium. He began his career in summer 2008 in the youth side for Standard Liège and signed on 20 July 2009 a three-year contract with K.F.C. The 2016 Girabola was the 38th season of top-tier football in Angola. The season ran from 19 February to 5 November 2016. The CAF Confederation Cup, known as the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup for sponsorship purposes, is an annual association football club competition established in 2004 from a merger of the CAF Cup and the African Cup Winners' Cup and organized by CAF.
