''Prisoner of Passion'' ( it, La Orca) is an Italian film directed by Eriprando Visconti. The film was followed with the sequel ''Oedipus Orca''. Eriprando Visconti
Eriprando Visconti di Modrone, Count of Vico Modrone (September 24, 1932 – May 26, 1995) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, and producer. He was the nephew of the more famous Luchino Visconti. Born in Milan into a noble family, in the early 1950s Visconti moved to Rome, against the wishes of his family, to pursue his dream to enter the cinema industry. After a few experiences as an actor and an assistant film editor under Mario Serandrei, in 1955 he wrote the early script and collaborated to the screenplay of Francesco Maselli's '' The Abandoned'' and in the second half of the 1950s he started working as assistant director, notably collaborating with Michelangelo Antonioni and his uncle Luchino Visconti. In 1959 he collaborated with Luigi Malerba to the libretto of the Franco Mannino's opera ''Hatikwa'', and in the same period he started working in theatre as an assistant director. Bruno Corazzari (born 30 December 1940) is an Italian film, television and stage actor. Life and career Born in Castellarano, Reggio Emilia, Corazzari started his career in the second half of the sixties, playing minor roles in a number of Spaghetti Western films, usually being cast as a bad gunslinger and a member of the villain's band. In a few years he played roles of greater weight in other genres, namely giallo, poliziotteschi and adventure films. He was also active in art films, working with Marco Bellocchio, Franco Brocani and Maurizio Ponzi, among others. Carmen Scarpitta (26 May 1933 – 26 April 2008) was an Italian stage and film actress. She appeared in 30 films between 1960 and 2001. Scarpitta was born in Hollywood, California. Franco "Kim" Arcalli (13 March 1929 – 24 February 1978) was an Italian film editor and screenwriter best known for his work with Bernardo Bertolucci and Michelangelo Antonioni. Life and career Born in Rome by a Venetian family, his last name was Orcalli, but he was wrongly recorded as Arcalli by the officer of the Registry, and the error was never corrected.
