Principals Athletic Conference (OHSAA)
The Principals Athletic Conference (PAC-7) is an Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) athletic league, formed in 1989, made up of seven schools from Stark, Summit, and Wayne counties with full membership, and one football-only member in Ashland County. The PAC-7 is home to some of the biggest rivalries in Northeast Ohio high school sports: the Triway Titans vs. the Orrville Red Riders, the Fairless Falcons vs. Tuslaw Mustangs in ''"The Blue Cup"'', and the Manchester Panthers vs. the Northwest Indians. Ohio High School Athletic Association
The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) is the governing body of athletic programs for junior and senior high schools in the state of Ohio. The OHSAA governs eligibility of student athletes, resolves disputes, organizes levels of competition by divisional separation of schools according to attendance population, and conducts state championship competitions in all the OHSAA-sanctioned sports. Membership There are approximately 820 member high schools and 850 more schools in the 7th-8th grade division of the OHSAA. Most public and private high schools in Ohio belong to the OHSAA. Northwest High School (Canal Fulton, Ohio)
Northwest High School is a public high school in Lawrence Township, near Canal Fulton, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Northwest Local Schools district. Athletic teams are nicknamed the Indians and the school colors are red, white, and gray. Education Northwest students complete a general education requirement of 20 credit hours, in preparation for collegiate studies. The school offers 86 classes. Two physical education classes are offered. A health and an advance health course are offered. Fourteen English classes are offered at various levels and focus. Gnadenhutten, Ohio
Gnadenhutten ( , meaning "Houses of Grace" in German) is a village located on the Tuscarawas River in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,240 at the 2020 census. It is Ohio's oldest existing settlement, being founded by Moravian Christians in 1772 and was the site of the Gnadenhutten massacre during the American Revolutionary War. It is part of the New Philadelphia–Dover micropolitan area. History Gnadenhutten, originally Gnadenhütten, was founded in October 1772 as the second settlement of German Americans and Lenape Indians affiliated with the Moravian Church. East Canton, Ohio
East Canton is a village in Stark County in the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 1,591 at the 2010 census. It is part of the '' Canton-Massillon, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area''. East Canton was originally settled under the name "Osnaburg". The village was founded with the help of Mallory Paige. There is a statue in memory of her at the Ward house. Date Research The Osnaburg Township Plat map of 1875, shows the village as Osnaburg. Inside this book on page 23, within the history of Osnaburg Township, it is written: "James Leeper laid out the town of Osnaburg about 1807, and settlers located near by, in the expectation of its being the county seat." The 1910 census still shows inhabitants as Osnaburg, Osnaburg twp., Stark Co., Ohio, United States. However the 1920 census shows inhabitants as East Canton, incorporated place; Osnaburg Township. In 1994, Coventry school's purchased an entertainment complex known as Jackie Lee's for $4 million to house its high school students. The complex had a 40 lane bowling alley, a fitness center, restaurant size kitchen, a full size theater, an outdoor pool area, as well as multiple dance clubs and arcade areas. Tuslaw High School is a public high school located in Tuscarawas Township, Ohio near the city of Massillon and serves all high school students in the Tuslaw Local School district. Tuslaw High School is a member of the Stark County Area Vocational School District allowing its high school students to attend the R.G. Drage Vocational Center located in Massillon. The school's mascot is the Mustang and the school colors are blue and white with a little red trim. Triway High School is a public high school in Wooster, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Triway Local School District. Their nickname is the Titans. Background Triway serves primarily the townships of Wooster, Franklin, and Clinton, and the village of Shreve in Wayne County, Ohio. These three areas agreed to consolidate in 1960 under the name of "Triway", and the school was opened at its current location in 1963. In the school district there are three K-6 elementary schools: Franklin Elementary which is now shut down and has been absorbed by the Wooster Township branch of the schools, Shreve Elementary, and Wooster Township Elementary.
