Northwest High School is a public high school in Lawrence Township, near Canal Fulton, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Northwest Local Schools district. Athletic teams are nicknamed the Indians and the school colors are red, white, and gray. Education Northwest students complete a general education requirement of 20 credit hours, in preparation for collegiate studies. The school offers 86 classes. Two physical education classes are offered. A health and an advance health course are offered. Fourteen English classes are offered at various levels and focus. Athletics Wrestling Between 1980 and 2015, the Northwest High School wrestling program had 32 place winners in the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Division II (or Class AA) State Wrestling Tournament including three State Champions, in 1989, 2001 and 2004, and nine State Runners-Up. Canal Fulton, Ohio
Canal Fulton is a city in Stark County, Ohio. The population was 5,325 at the time of the 2020 census. It is part of the Canton-Massillon, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Canal Fulton is located at (40.889806, -81.595339), along the Tuscarawas River. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , of which is land and is water. History Canal Fulton traces its history to three villages that developed along the Tuscarawas River. Milan was platted on March 23, 1814, by Matthew Rowland who arrived by ox team. It was the first settlement west of the Tuscarawas River in Stark County. Fulton was platted on May 16, 1826, changed its name to Canal Fulton in 1832, and later incorporated as a village. The present name is an amalgamation of the Ohio Canal and the name of a local pioneer, Ben Fulton. In 1843, President John Quincy Adams visited.
