Price Busters TV
Price Busters TV was an unsuccessful shopping channel in United Kingdom launched by entrepreneur Mark Klein in July 2006. It was based in Bulwell, Nottingham. At launch the channel broadcast live daily from 4 pm through until midnight. When Price Busters TV was not broadcasting live it repeated the previous evening's live output in whole from midnight through until 8 am, and again from 8 am through until 4 pm. Towards the end of its life the channel broadcast mainly repeats and was only live three days a week. A winding up order was made against the company on 2 April 2007, after it had ceased broadcasting. At the time there were about 1,500 orders packaged paid for, but undelivered due to a dispute with the courier. Originally, Price Busters TV was only available via the Sky Digital platform on channel 681. Shopping Channel
Shopping channels (also known in British English as teleshopping) are a type of television program or specialty channel devoted to home shopping. Their formats typically feature live presentations and demonstrations of products, hosted by on-air presenters and other spokespeople who provide a sales pitch for the product. Viewers are also instructed on how they can order the product. Shopping channels may focus primarily on mainstream merchandise, or more specialized categories such as high-end fashion and jewelry. The term can also apply to channels whose programming consists exclusively of direct-response advertising and infomercials. Bulwell is a market town in the City of Nottingham, in Nottinghamshire, England. It is south-west of Hucknall and to the north-west of Nottingham. Bid Plus (formerly Speed Auction) was a British television shopping channel owned by Bid Shopping. The channel ceased broadcast on 1 July 2013. History The channel launched as speedauction on 27 July 2005, replacing the original Screenshop 2 channel. The channel broadcast between 8am and 1am. Live rising price auctions were only available Wednesday to Sunday between 4pm to 8pm and 9pm to midnight. Pre-recorded auctions were available the remainder of the time.
