Preble County League
This is a list of former high school athletic conferences in the Southwest Region of Ohio, as designated by the OHSAA. If a conference had members that span multiple regions, the conference is placed in the article of the region most of its former members hail from. Because the names of localities and their corresponding high schools do not always match and because there is often a possibility of ambiguity with respect to either the name of a locality or the name of a high school, the following table gives both in every case, with the locality name first, in plain type, and the high school name second in boldface type. The school's team nickname is given last. Brown County League The BCL was one of the local small-school county leagues in Southwest Ohio. Fort Loramie High School
Fort Loramie High School is a public high school in Fort Loramie, Ohio in Shelby County. It is the only high school in the Fort Loramie School district. The high school is located at 600 East Park Street. This building houses students in grades 7–12. Students in grades K-6 attend the Fort Loramie Elementary School which is located at 35 Elm Street. The district serves between 780 and 820 students in any given school year. The motto for the district and the community is: "A Great Place to Learn and a Great Place to Live!" The mascot is the Redskin and the school colors are red and black. They primarily compete in the Shelby County Athletic League, but play football as an independent. Norwood High School (Ohio)
Norwood High School is a high school in Norwood, Ohio which has been rated Excellent by the Ohio Department of Education. It is the only high school in the Norwood City School District. The Drake Planetarium, located in the high school, is named after astronomer and astrophysicist Frank Drake and is linked to NASA. Norwood High School owns the 1936 state title for baseball. The interior of old Norwood High School, now Norwood Junior High School, was used to film several scenes appearing in the 1989 film ''An Innocent Man'', starring Tom Selleck. Archbishop McNicholas High School
Archbishop McNicholas High School is a coed school in the neighborhood of Mt. Washington in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. The school was opened in 1951 and named in honor of John T. McNicholas, Archbishop of Cincinnati. In 1915, St. Joseph Academy, an all-girls academy, was opened as a day and boarding school operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Medaille. In 1950, Archbishop John T. McNicholas designated the academy would become the first co-ed parochial high school in Cincinnati. Archbishop McNicholas died before the school was opened and his successor, Archbishop Karl J. Alter approved on January 15, 1951, that the school be named for Archbishop McNicholas. The school was purchased from the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Medaille by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati in 1998. Amelia High School
Amelia High School was a public high school in the West Clermont Local School District in Clermont County, Ohio. It had an average daily student enrollment of approximately 1,100 in 2012. It held an "excellent" rating from the Ohio Department of Education. Amelia and Glen Este high schools closed after the 2016-17 school year and were replaced by a newly built West Clermont High School. Amelia and Glen Este middle schools were consolidated into the West Clermont Middle School on the former Amelia High School/Middle School property. Anna High School (Anna, Ohio)
Anna High School is a public high school in Anna, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Anna Local Schools district, which is predominantly rural. Agriculture is a major occupation among district residents, with many others working in factory production, retail businesses, and at the Honda Anna Engine Plant. A large percentage of the school district's tax revenues are received from Honda, so it is the primary tax contributor in the school district and is crucial to the district's financial stability. Anna students regularly score above state and national standards on standardized tests, and ACT scores are regularly above the national average. Versailles High School is a public high school in Versailles, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Versailles Exempted Village School District. The Versailles Tigers are a member of the Midwest Athletic Conference. The current High School Principal is Jacki Stonebraker. Twin Valley South High School is a public high school in West Alexandria, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Twin Valley Community Local School District. Tri-Village High School
Tri-Village High School is a public high school in New Madison, Ohio, the only one in the district. It is a consolidation of New Madison School District and the Westmont School District. The Tri-Village School District started with the 1972–73 school year. Prior to the consolidation between New Madison and Westmont to form Tri-Village, Westmont had been a consolidation between Hollansburg and Palestine. Due to community support for the school, it was renovated and expanded. The school is housed all on one campus. The school announced in 2015 that it will add football as a school sport.
