Potts Inn
The Potts Inn is a historic former stagecoach inn at Main and Center Streets in Pottsville, Arkansas that is now a museum. It is a two-story wood-frame structure, with a side gable roof and weatherboard siding. A two-story gabled portico projects at the center of the front, supported by square posts. Entrances on both levels have overhead transom windows. The inn was built in 1858 by Kirkbride Potts, a Pennsylvania native, and is one of the finest antebellum houses in the region. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. Fitzgerald Station And Farmstead
Fitzgerald Station and Farmstead is a collection of historic buildings and structures in Springdale, Arkansas associated with the Butterfield Overland Mail Trail. Historically the site of a tavern popular with travelers heading west prior to the establishment of the Butterfield Trail, the property became a station along the route in the 1850s. Today, the property retains an original 1850s barn built as a waypoint along the route, as well as an 1870s house and associated outbuildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in May 2003. Eponym and early history John Fitzgerald Sr. and his wife, Mary, relocated to Washington County, Arkansas from Alabama circa 1830.
