Poshtova Ploshcha (Kyiv Metro)
Poshtova Ploshcha ( uk, Поштова площа, ) is a station on Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska Line. The station was opened on 17 December 1976, and is named after Kyiv's Poshtova Square (''Post Square'') near the Dnieper's embankment in the historic Podil neighbourhood. It was designed by A.S. Krushynskyi, T.A. Tselykovska, I.L. Maslenkov, and V.S. Bohdanovskyi. The station is located shallow underground and consists of a central hall with columns. At the end of the station's hall, there is a stained glass decorative window. The station is accessible by passenger tunnels leading from the Volodymyrskyi Decent and the Poshtova Square. Podilskyi District
The Podilskyi District ( uk, Подільський район) is an urban district of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Its population was 177,563 at the 2001 census. The district takes its name from the historic Podil neighborhood which it includes within its boundaries. The Podilskyi District as an administrative entity was formed in 1921 on one of the largest historical neighborhoods in Kyiv. In May 2001 the Podilskyi District celebrated the 80th anniversary of its foundation. The district remains one of the main business, transport, and industrial areas of Kyiv. Kyiv Metro
The Kyiv Metro ( uk, Ки́ївський метрополіте́н, Kyivskyi metropoliten, ) is a rapid transit system in Kyiv that is owned by the Kyiv City Council and operated by the city-owned company Kyivsky Metropoliten''.'' It was initially opened on November 6th, 1960, as a single line with five stations. It was the first rapid transit system in Ukraine and the third in the Soviet Union, after the Moscow and St. Petersburg metros. Poshtova Square
Poshtova Square ( uk, Поштова площа, translit.: ''Poshtova Ploshcha'', literally: ''Postal Square'') in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, is one of the oldest historic squares of the city. Archaeological findings are dated back to the 4th century. A crossing of several historic streets such as Saint Volodymyr Descent, Borychiv Descent and Sahaydachny Street, the square is located at the Dnipro riverfront right next to the Kyiv River Port. The square received its name from Podil post station that was opened there in 1846. Volodymyrskyi Decent
Saint Volodymyr Descent ( uk, Володимирський узвіз, Volodymyrskyi uzviz) is a street in Kyiv located between the Pechersk and Podil city districts. It stretches from European Square to Postal Square. The city street splits two city parks (Khreshchatyi Park and Saint Volodymyr Hill) located on the slopes of Saint Michael Hill (see Kyiv Mountains). The two parks are connected by the Bridge over Saint Volodymyr Descent, also called the Klitschko Bridge or the Kyiv Glass Bridge, which opened on 25 May 2019. The Kyiv Funicular ( uk, Київський фунікулер) is a steep slope railroad on Kyiv Hills that serves the city of Kyiv, connecting the historic ''Old Kyiv, Uppertown'', and the lower commercial neighborhood of Podil through the steep Volodymyrska Hill overseeing the Dnieper River. Rail transport (also known as train transport) is a means of transport that transfers passengers and goods on wheeled vehicles running on rails, which are incorporated in tracks.
