Porte De Vanves (Paris Metro)
Porte de Vanves () is a station on Line 13 of the Paris Métro and a stop on tramway Line 3a in the 14th arrondissement. It is named after the P''orte de Vanves'', a gate in the 19th century Thiers wall of Paris. Contrary to what its name suggests, it gave access to the commune of Malakoff – the commune of Vanves is instead accessible by ''Porte Brancion'' located 250 metres west. History The station opened on 21 January 1937 as part of the initial section of the old line 14 between Porte de Vanves and Bienvenüe (today known as Montparnasse–Bienvenue). It served as its southern terminus until 9 November 1976 when it was extended to Châtillon–Montrouge. The old line 14 was incorporated into line 13 on the same day following the latter's extension in successive phases from Saint-Lazare. Saint-Lazare () is a station on Line 3, Line 12, Line 13 and Line 14 of the Paris Métro. Line 9 also stops at Saint Augustin and RER E stops at Haussmann Saint Lazare. A tunnel connects both of these stations. It is named after the ''Porte d'Ivry'', a gate in the nineteenth century Thiers wall of Paris on the road that led to Ivry-sur-Seine. Pont Du Garigliano
The Pont du Garigliano is a bridge across the Seine in Paris. Location and construction The Pont du Garigliano links Boulevard Martial-Valin in the quartier de Javel (15th arrondissement), to Boulevard Exelmans in the Auteuil quartier ( 16th arrondissement). It is a metal bridge made of three spans (of 58m, 93m and 58m) soldered to six beams and carried on only two piles, close to the river banks. It spans roadways on both banks before reaching the ground. It is the highest bridge in Paris, at 11 metres above the level of the Seine (making it a popular place for suicides, such as that of Boris Fraenkel). It is very close to the studios of France Télévision, and to the Hôpital Européen Georges-Pompidou. Plaisance () is a station on line Line 13 of the Paris Métro in the 14th arrondissement. The station opened on 21 January 1937 as part of the original line 14 between Bienvenüe and Porte de Vanves. Les Courtilles () is the terminus of the northwestern branch of Line 13 of the Paris Métro. Location The station is located on the border of the municipalities of communes of Asnières-sur-Seine and Gennevilliers, at the intersection formed by the axis of the Avenue de la Redoute and Avenue Lucien-Lanternier on the one hand, and the axis Boulevard Pierre-de-Coubertin and Boulevard Intercommunal on the other hand. A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway.
