Port Talbot Town Football Club ( cy, Clwb Pêl Droed Port Talbot) is a Welsh football club from Port Talbot. It was founded in 1901 as Port Talbot Athletic, one of the first clubs in the country. The club plays in the Ardal SW, and is based at Victoria Road. History Formed in 1901, Port Talbot began life as a member of the Swansea Senior League and continued playing following the hiatus due to World War One. Although records are sparse, the club is thought to have played in the Swansea Senior League until 1926, when it became a founder of the Port Talbot and District Association Football League; and to have competed in the Welsh League Division 2 Western from the 1928–29 season onwards under the name Seaside Athletic. Bernard McNally
Bernard Anthony McNally (born 17 February 1963) is a former Northern Ireland international footballer who played in midfield. During his club career he played for Shrewsbury Town (1980–1989), West Bromwich Albion (1989–1995), Hednesford Town (1996–1998), and Telford United. He earned five caps for the Northern Ireland national football team from 1986 to 1988, and was included in the 1986 FIFA World Cup team. Playing career McNally grew up in the Ditherington area of Shrewsbury, and was a pupil at the Harlescott Grange School. He was signed as a professional by his hometown club Shrewsbury Town, on the eve of the 1981/82 season, and immediately established himself as a first team member in arguably one of the best ever Shrewsbury Town sides. Scott Young (Welsh Footballer)
Scott Young (born 14 January 1976) is a Welsh former professional footballer. Club career Young was born in Tonypandy. He made his first appearance for Cardiff City, under then manager Eddie May, on 6 November 1993 in a 3–1 victory over Stockport County at the age of sixteen. He became a popular figure during his 11 seasons at Cardiff City, especially after scoring the winning goal in the 2–1 win over Leeds United on 6 January 2002 in the third round of the FA Cup. A one-club man since graduating from the Ninian Park ranks, Young made 275 league appearances for the Bluebirds. Unfortunately his later years with Cardiff were blighted by a persistent back injury and he retired at the end of the 2003/04 season at the age of 28. He attempted a comeback as a Newport County player at the start of the 2004–05 season and was made captain, but further injury problems forced him to retire from football. Caersws ( cy, Caersŵs; ) is a village and community on the River Severn, in the Welsh county of Powys (Montgomeryshire) west of Newtown, and halfway between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury. It has a station on the Cambrian Line from Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury. At the 2011 Census, the community had a population of 1,586 – a figure which includes the settlements of Clatter, Llanwnnog and Pontdolgoch. The village itself had a population of slightly over 800.
