Port Coquitlam station is a stop on the West Coast Express commuter rail line connecting Vancouver to Mission, British Columbia, Canada. The station is located on the south side of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) tracks in Port Coquitlam, just off Kingsway Avenue. West Coast Express
The West Coast Express is a commuter railway serving the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia, Canada. Opened in 1995, it provides a link between Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley Regional District and is the only commuter railway in Western Canada. Service is provided between Downtown Vancouver and the municipalities of Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, and Mission. Along its route, several stations interchange with the SkyTrain metropolitan rail system as well as local bus services. Additionally, Waterfront station in Downtown Vancouver provides a connection to the SeaBus passenger ferry. Operation The West Coast Express operates from Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) with five trains per day running from Mission to Vancouver in the morning peak hours and returning to Mission in the evening peak. Port Coquitlam ( ) is a city in British Columbia, Canada. Located east of Vancouver, it is on the north bank of the confluence of the Fraser River and the Pitt River. A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. Kootenay Loop is a bus loop in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is the easternmost major transit exchange in the city of Vancouver, with routes serving Vancouver, Burnaby, North Vancouver and the Tri-Cities. Structure and location Kootenay Loop opened on August 20, 1950, and is located on East Hastings Street at its intersection with Kootenay Street. It is less than from Vancouver's border with the city of Burnaby. It is near the Pacific National Exhibition grounds and the Second Narrows Bridge to North Vancouver.
