Poomagal Oorvalam
''Poomagal Oorvalam'' is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by Rasu Madhuravan. The film stars Prashanth and Rambha. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Siva. The film released on 30 April 1999. It received mixed reviews and became a commercial success. Plot Saravanan, orphaned by his dead mother – a mental patient, is adopted by a childless couple. Theirs is an inter-caste marriage. At college, he runs into Kavitha, the granddaughter of caste-obsessed Sengodan. The triangle is completed by Aavudayappan alias Armstrong, a US-return who is smitten by Kavitha. With a little unintentional photo-swapping by the marriage broker, the parents of Saravanan and Aavudayappan (the fathers have the same name) both think they have an alliance for their son with Sengodan's family and show up at Kavitha's house at the same time. Rasu Madhuravan
Rasu Madhuravan (1969 – 9 July 2013) was a Tamil film director known for family dramas. He began his career as an assistant director to Manivannan, and made his directorial debut with ''Poomagal Oorvalam''. He died on 9 July 2013 from throat cancer. Early life and career Madhuravan was born as Karuppiah in a village called Mettupatti near Dindigul district in Tamil Nadu. He attended Usilampatti Government School. While studying agriculture in college, he left studies, citing lack of interest, and went to Chennai in 1987. Madhuravan joined as an assistant director with Manivannan and started his debut ''Manamagal Thevai'' with Jayaram and Devayani, but the film was dropped after recording songs. He was supposed to direct Ajith in a project called ''Namma Veettu Kalyanam'', but that too was dropped. R. B. Choudary gave Madhuravan a chance to direct ''Poomagal Oorvalam''. Arunmozhi ( ta, அருண்மொழி) (also called Napoleon Selvaraj) (born 1951) is an Indian playback singer and well-known flutist. He has sung songs composed by leading Indian film industry music directors, including Ilaiyaraaja, Shankar Ganesh, Deva, S. A. Rajkumar, Viji Manuel, Swararaj, Harris Jayaraj, Sirpy, Vidyasagar, Soundaryan, Karthik Raja, Siva, Masa, Dhina and Yuvan Shankar Raja. He has also performed in live concerts across the world. Harini (singer)
Harini (born 30 April 1979) is an Indian film playback singer and classical singer who sings in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films, working with many leading film composers. She is married to another playback singer, Tippu. Harini learnt Carnatic music from Gowri and Radha Viswanathan from the age of four. In her later years, she learned from Sudha Raghunathan and currently from Suguna Purushotthaman. She used to participate in school competitions and in one such competition which she won, A. R. Rahman who distributed the prizes invited the winners to his studio to record their voices. Parakkal Unnikrishnan (born 9 July 1966) is an Indian Carnatic vocalist and playback singer. Early life and background Unnikrishnan was born to K. Radhakrishnan and Dr. Harini Radhakrishnan in Palakkad, Kerala. The family home, Kesari Kuteeram, was a well-known landmark of Madras city, with great grandfather Dr. K. N. Hariharan (born 3 April 1955) is an Indian playback, bhajan and ghazal singer who predominantly sings in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages.
