Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie
''Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie'' (also known as ''Pooh's Heffalump Halloween: The Movie'') is a 2005 American direct-to-video animated comedy film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and DisneyToon Studios, featuring the characters from Winnie the Pooh franchise and it was the sequel to ''Pooh's Heffalump Movie''. This was the final Winnie the Pooh film to be produced by DisneyToon Studios before its closure in 2018. The film marked voice actor John Fiedler's final appearance as Piglet, as he died in two and a half months before the film's release. He died before completing his voice work, so Travis Oates was brought in to finish the remaining scenes (and receives credit for "additional voices") and became Piglet's new official voice actor. It was followed by a television film produced by Walt Disney Television Animation and Polygon Pictures, ''Pooh's Super Sleuth Christmas Movie'', released on November 20, 2007, an animated feature based on the television series ''My Friends T ...

Direct-to-video
Direct-to-video or straight-to-video refers to the release of a film, TV series, short or special to the public immediately on home video formats rather than an initial theatrical release or television premiere. This distribution strategy was prevalent before streaming platforms came to dominate the TV and movie distribution markets. Because inferior sequels or prequels of larger-budget films may be released direct-to-video, review references to direct-to-video releases are often pejorative. Direct-to-video release has also become profitable for independent filmmakers and smaller companies. Some direct-to-video genre films (with a high-profile star) can generate well in excess of $50 million revenue worldwide. Reasons for releasing direct to video A production studio may decide not to generally release a TV show or film for several possible reasons: a low budget, a lack of support from a TV network, negative reviews, its controversial nature, that it may appeal to a small ni ...

Halloween
Halloween or Hallowe'en (less commonly known as Allhalloween, All Hallows' Eve, or All Saints' Eve) is a celebration observed in many countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Saints' Day. It begins the observance of Allhallowtide, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints ( hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed. One theory holds that many Halloween traditions were influenced by Celtic harvest festivals, particularly the Gaelic festival Samhain, which are believed to have pagan roots. Some go further and suggest that Samhain may have been Christianized as All Hallow's Day, along with its eve, by the early Church. Other academics believe Halloween began solely as a Christian holiday, being the vigil of All Hallow's Day. Celebrated in Ireland and Scotland for centuries, Irish and Scottish immigrants took many Halloween customs to North America in the 19th century,Brunvand, Jan (editor). ''Ame ...

He is humble about his slow-wittedness, but comfortable with his creative gifts. In the Disney adaptations, in which the character's name lacks hyphens, Pooh has a soft voice, wears a red shirt and his catchphrases are "Oh, bother!" and "Think, think, think". He has been voiced by Sterling Holloway (1965–1977), Hal Smith (1981–1986), and Jim Cummings (1988–pres ...

Winnie The Pooh (franchise)
''Winnie the Pooh'' is a media franchise produced by The Walt Disney Company, based on A. A. Milne and E. H. Shepard's stories featuring Winnie-the-Pooh. It started in 1966 with the theatrical release of the short ''Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree''. The tone, action, and plot of the franchise is made much softer and slower than that of any other Disney animated film, in order to appeal to a more preschool-oriented audience. History As early as 1938, Walt Disney expressed interest in obtaining the film rights to the Pooh books by first corresponding with the literary agency Curtis Brown. In June 1961, Disney Productions acquired the film rights. By 1964, Disney told his animation staff that he was planning to make a full-length animated feature film based on the books. A meeting was held with senior staff members to discuss the proposed film. However, during the meeting, Disney decided not to make a feature film, but instead a featurette that could be attached to a live-ac ...
