Pongalo Pongal
''Pongalo Pongal'' is a 1997 Tamil-language comedy film directed by V. Sekhar. The film stars Vignesh, Vadivelu, Charle, Chinni Jayanth, and Vivek. Sangita Madhavan Nair, Kovai Sarala, Indhu, and Latha play the female leads. Supporting roles are done by Malaysia Vasudevan, Thyagu, Rajesh, and Vennira Aadai Moorthy. The film had music by Deva, cinematography by G. Rajendran and editing by A. P. Manivannan. The film released on 9 May 1997 and became a commercial success at the box office. Plot Subramani, Vellaisamy, Arumugam, and Ponrasu are four friends from poor families; they are graduates but cannot find jobs. Vignesh (actor)
Raja (born 9 April 1971), known professionally as Vignesh, is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. Career Vignesh got selected to play the lead role in Balu Mahendra's ''Vanna Vanna Pookkal'' (1992) but he was removed from the film after working on it for seven days and was replaced by Prashanth. He made his acting debut in 1992 with the village drama film '' Chinna Thayee''. In 1993, he acted in '' Amma Ponnu'', Bharathiraja's ''Kizhakku Cheemayile'' and Kathir's ''Uzhavan''. In 1995, Vignesh appeared in six films. He starred in ''Chellakannu'', which told the tragic story of a young couple caught between feuding families, and the film performed well and ran for over one hundred days at the box office. Anuradha Sriram
Anuradha Sriram (born 9 July 1970) is an Indian carnatic and playback singer and child actress who hails from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. She has sung more than 700 songs in Tamil, Telugu, Sinhala, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Hindi films. Nagoor Babu, known by his stage name Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and composer. Tiruchirapalli Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (born 29 October 1931 – 18 July 2013) was an Indian poet who is the highest songs wrote lyricist in cinema and whose works were in Tamil, had a five-decade long association with the Tamil film industry, wrote over 15,000 songs. Chelladurai
Chelladurai (1941 - 7 February 2015) was an Indian comedian who worked in Tamil-language films. He acted in over 350 films. Career Chelladurai made his film debut with ''Thooral Ninnu Pochchu'' (1982). He is known for his comic sequences with actor Vadivelu. He became famous for his role in '' Shree'' (2002) as the owner of a wine shop named Prabha. In the scene, Marimuthu (Vadivelu) calls the owner and asks when the shop will open. The owner tells him that the store closed. Vadivelu drinks alcohol and repeatedly disturbs the shop owner during the night. Death Chelladurai was admitted to Keezhpakkam Government Hospital in Chennai due to kidney issues on 8 February after having problems for several months. He died on 7 February 2015 due to high blood pressure. Bonda Mani
Bonda Mani is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films. He has worked in comedy and supporting roles in over 270 films. Career Bonda Mani has described that his stage name is derived from his diet of bondas, when he was a struggling actor, and the suffix of his mentor, Goundamani. His original name is Kedheeswaran and he originates from Sri Lanka. While working in Singapore during the 1980s, he became acquainted with director K. Bhagyaraj who visited the country for a show. He later reconnected with Bhagyaraj during a visit to Chennai and was cast in a supporting role in ''Pavunnu Pavunuthan'' (1991).
