Polygone Scientifique
The Polygone Scientifique (en: Scientific Polygon) is a neighborhood of the city of Grenoble in France. It includes a significant number of research centers in a presque-isle between Isère (river), Isère and Drac (river), Drac. History Polygon hosts in 1956 the first Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives, French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) outside Paris and created by Professor Louis Néel. In 1962, it hosts a campus Centre national de la recherche scientifique, CNRS. Polygone Scientifique - Grenoble
The Multinational Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactics Facility Polygone, known more briefly as Polygone, is an Electronic Warfare Tactics Range located on the border between Germany and France. It is a tri-national facility operated by France, Germany and the United States. Purpose The range, also referred to as the Multi-national Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactics Facility (MAEWTF), is jointly operated by personnel from the United States, German and French Air Forces. Training areas The particular sites of the range are coordinated by CCC systems provided by Computer Application Services (www.casltd.co.uk) - SPICCCS at RAF Spadeadam & EPICCCS at Polygone. Minatec
Minatec (initially called the Micro and Nanotechnology Innovation Centre) is a research complex specializing in micro-nano technologies in Grenoble, France. The centre was inaugurated in June 2006 by François Loos, French Minister Delegate for Industry, as a partnership between LETI (the Electronics and Information Technologies Laboratory of CEA, the French Atomic Energy Commission) and by Grenoble Institute of Technology (Université Grenoble Alpes). The site was already home to LETI, Europe's top center for applied research in microelectronics and nanotechnology. Grenoble Tramway
The Grenoble tramway (french: Tramway de Grenoble) is the tram system in the city of Grenoble in the Rhône-Alpes region of France. Alim Louis Benabid is a French-Algerian emeritus professor, neurosurgeon and member of the French Academy of Sciences, who has had a global impact in the development of deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. Clinatec
Clinatec is a biomedical research center based at the Polygone Scientifique in Grenoble. Doctors, biologists and Nanotechnology, micro- and nanotechnology experts work side by side at the 6,000 m2 facility. Around a hundred researchers and employees work at the center.
