KKS Polonia Warsaw - is a Polish professional men's basketball club based in Warsaw, currently playing in the basketball 1 Men's Basketball League. History The team was founded in 1911. In 1959, the team won the national Polish championship. In the 1959–60 season, Polonia was a semi-finalist in the FIBA European Champions Cup. In 2003, 2004 and 2005 the team reached the PLK Semifinals. The 2010–11 season was the last one for Polonia in the PLK. I Liga (basketball)
The I Liga (English: First League) is the second-tier level league of basketball in Poland. It is organised by the Polish Basketball Association. Kamil Łączyński
Kamil Łączyński (born 17 April 1989) is a Polish basketball player for Anwil Włocławek of the Polish Basketball League. Standing at 1.83 m (6 ft 0 in), he usually plays as point guard. Career Łączyński started his career in 2005, with Polonia Warszawa. In the following years, he would play for AZS Koszalin, Rosa Radom and Kutno. On 4 June 2018, Łączyński won his first PLK title with Włocławek, after defeating Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski 65–73 in Game 6 of the finals. SKK (Women's Basketball Section) Polonia Warsaw - is a Polish professional women's basketball club based in Warsaw, currently playing in the basketball premier league - Basket Liga Kobiet. History The female sports games section of the Polonia Warsaw club was established in 1925. The first discipline of the section was hazena, and soon the players also started playing basketball and volleyball (usually practicing several sports at the same time). Polonia Warsaw ( pl, Polonia Warszawa, ), founded on 19 November 1911, is the oldest existing Varsovian sports club, best known for its football and basketball teams. Witold Edward Zagórski (25 September 1930 – 30 June 2016) was a Polish professional basketball player and coach. Playing career Club career During his club playing career, Zagórski was a player of the Polish teams Polonia Warszawa (1950–1960), and CWKS Legia Warszawa (1960–1961). Krzysztof Szubarga (born 5 July 1984) is a Polish professional basketball coach and former player. Standing at 1.78 m (5'10") tall, he mainly plays at the point guard position. He is currently working as head coach for Arka Gdynia of the PLK. Professional career Szubarga has the majority of his career in the Polish Basketball League. Jeff Wallace Nordgaard (born February 23, 1973) is an American-born naturalized Polish former professional basketball player. Łukasz Koszarek (born 12 January 1984) is a Polish professional basketball player for Legia Warszawa of the Polish Basketball League. He is a point guard. Professional career Koszarek has spent most of his career in the Polish Basketball League. He made his debut for Polonia Warbud Warszawa in 2003–04, seeing limited action off the bench for the team. However, the following year, he saw significantly more action, averaging 11.6 points and 4.8 assists per game in leading the team to a third-place finish in the league.
