Politics Of Shandong
The politics of Shandong Province in the People's Republic of China is structured in a dual party-government system like all other governing institutions in mainland China. The Governor of Shandong is the highest-ranking official in the People's Government of Shandong. However, in the province's dual party-government governing system, the Governor has less power than the Shandong Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Provincial Committee Secretary, colloquially termed the "Shandong CCP Party Chief". Shandong
Shandong ( , ; ; alternately romanized as Shantung) is a coastal province of the People's Republic of China and is part of the East China region. Shandong has played a major role in Chinese history since the beginning of Chinese civilization along the lower reaches of the Yellow River. It has served as a pivotal cultural and religious center for Taoism, Chinese Buddhism and Confucianism. Shandong's Mount Tai is the most revered mountain of Taoism and a site with one of the longest histories of continuous religious worship in the world. The Buddhist temples in the mountains to the south of the provincial capital of Jinan were once among the foremost Buddhist sites in China. Zhao Zhihao
Zhao Zhihao (; born 20 November 1931) is a Chinese politician who served as governor of Shandong from 1989 to 1995, party secretary of Shandong from 1994 to 1997, and chairman of Shandong Provincial People's Congress from 1996 to 2002. He was a representative of the 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. He was a delegate to the 7th and 8th National People's Congress. Jiang Daming
Jiang Daming (; born 1953) is a politician of the People's Republic of China. He served as the Minister of Land and Resources, and formerly served as Governor of Shandong province. Han Yuqun
Han Yuqun (born 1943 in Suining, Jiangsu province) is a Chinese politician. He is vice-chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee of the National People's Congress. He was also governor of Shandong Province. Career Han Yuqun joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1975. Li Chunting (; born October 1936) is a Chinese politician who served as governor of Shandong from 1995 to 2001. He was an alternate member of the 14th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and a member of the 15th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. Zhao Jianmin () (June 24, 1912 – April 8, 2012) was a People's Republic of China politician. He was born in Guan County, Shandong Province. He was governor of his home province.
