Police Force (pinball)
Police Force is a 1989 Williams pinball machine. The pinball machine was initially supposed to be released as Batman pinball, the police car was to be the Batmobile and the Jail was to be the Bat Cave. The machine features anthropomorphic jungle animals in the roles of police and robbers. The game features scoring by hitting each of the targets of the animals. As the targets of each animal are struck, a light of each lights up showing them in jail. The game also features scoring on a center ramp with unlimited shots of one million each after a series of shots, and a multi-ball. On the third ball of the game, players can shoot the right ramp twice, and add the highest current score to their own. WMS Industries
WMS Industries, Inc. was an American electronic gaming and amusement manufacturer in Enterprise, Nevada. It was merged into Scientific Games in 2016. WMS's predecessor was the Williams Manufacturing Company, founded in 1943 by Harry E. Williams. Elvira And The Party Monsters
''Elvira and the Party Monsters'' is a 1989 pinball game designed by Dennis Nordman and Jim Patla and released by Midway (under the ''Bally'' label), featuring horrorshow-hostess Elvira. It was followed 1996 by '' Scared Stiff'', also designed by Nordman. Description The marketing slogan ''"Elvira is No Cheap Date!"'' referring to the new .50/.75/1.00 pricing scheme. ''Elvira and the Party Monsters'' was made shortly after the merger of Williams and Bally. Although the game uses a vaguely Bally-style cabinet and flippers, all the rest of the game hardware are completely made up of Williams parts. Atari Lynx
The Atari Lynx is a hybrid 8/16-bit fourth generation handheld game console released by Atari Corporation in September 1989 in North America and 1990 in Europe and Japan. It was the first handheld game console with a color liquid-crystal display. Powered by a 16 MHz 65C02 8-bit CPU and a custom 16-bit blitter, the Lynx was more advanced than Nintendo's monochrome Game Boy, released two months earlier. Mark Ritchie (pinball Designer)
Mark Ritchie (born August 20, 1958) is an American pinball designer and video game producer. He is best known for his successful pinball designs from 1982-1996. He has continued to work in the coin-operated amusement industry, currently serving as production coordinator for Raw Thrills, Inc. / Play Mechanix, Inc. Mark is the younger brother of fellow pinball designer Steve Ritchie. Career Atari, Inc. (1976 - 1979) Ritchie's first job in the pinball industry was with Atari, Inc. in 1976. While at Atari, he held many jobs. His first position was as an assembler at Atari's Santa Clara, California video game production facility.
