Jacqueline Poelman
Helina Jacomina (Jacqueline) Poelman (October 5, 1973) is a former Dutch sprinter. Poelman was born and raised in Leek and trained at an athletics club in Roden. Her first major international tournament were the 1991 European Junior Championships in Thessaloniki, where she did not reach the final on the 100 nor the 200 m. Only a year later at the World Junior Championships she won the silver medal on the 100 m, finishing second, while she became fourth on the 200 m. In the same year she was part of the Dutch 4 × 100 m relay team during the Olympics in Barcelona, which was eliminated in the series. Poelman won the bronze medal on the 200 m at the 1994 European Championships, held in Paris. For a long time this was her last international achievement. Only in 2002 Poelman worked on her comeback after a few years without hardly any competition, because she finished her study. Boudewijn Poelmann (born 3 February 1949, Bussum) is a Dutch entrepreneur and co-founder of the Netherlands's Nationale Postcode Lottery. In 1983, he helped to start the media company, Novamedia. Before establishing Novamedia in 1983, he worked with DAF and Oxfam Novib (Dutch organization for international development aid). At Oxfam Novib he was responsible for fundraising and oversaw its publishing house. In addition, he acquired experience in European TV, telephone and printed media businesses. Until September 1992 he was also the director of Inter Press Service, Europe. Frits Poelman is a former football (soccer) player who represented New Zealand at international level. Poelman played two official A-international matches for the New Zealand in 1954, both 2-1 wins over New Caledonia, the first on 31 August, the second on 14 September 1958. In club football for Hamilton Technical Old Boys, Poelman played alongside brother Klaas Poelman, who played two representative matches for New Zealand but gained no A-international caps. Anette Poelman
Anette Wiea Luka Poelman, (8 June 1853, Holwierde - 10 February 1914, Amsterdam) was a Dutch suffragist and philanthropist. She co-founded the first Woman Suffrage association in the Netherlands, FRP, in 1894 and served as its chairperson in 1894-95 and 1895-1903. She also founded the organisation OV, for the support of unmarried mothers and illegitimate children and the reform of marriage law in 1897, which she chaired in 1901-1904, and was the co-founder of a liberal party in 1901. Simon Roderick Poelman (born 27 May 1963, Hamilton) is a former New Zealand decathlete, who has been described as New Zealand's best ever all-round athlete. In the decathlon, his personal best of 8359 points (which is adjusted from 8366 points as it was hand timed) is still a New Zealand national record. This was set at the national athletics championships in Christchurch 1987. As well as being the national decathlon champion seven times.
