Pleasure And Suffering
''Pleasure and Suffering'' ( ar, المتعة والعذاب, al-Mutåt wal-ÂzabHabib, p129 or al-Moutʾah wal-ʾadhâbArmes, p183) is an Egyptian film made circa 1971. The film was directed by Niazi Mostafa. The principal actors are Shams al-Baroudi and Nour al-Sherif. The main characters are a group of four friends. Nana (Baroudy), a fashion designer, is the leader of the group. Nana has a fear of men, and she expresses anguish when her girlfriend Salwa ( Safa' Abu Sâoud) says that her father is arranging a marriage for Salwa to one of her father's coworkers. Samar Habib, author of ''Female Homosexuality in the Middle East: Histories and Representations'', describes Nana as an "ice-queen". Elham (Suhair Ramzi) compulsively steals. She receives sexual pleasure from stealing. The fourth friend is Fifi. Another character is Âdel (Nour Sherif), a male character who is later revealed in the film as a con-man. Niazi Mostafa ( arz, نيازي مصطفى) was an Egyptian film director. Egyptian Cinema Egyptian movie critic Samīr Farīd wrote that Mostafa was one of " e most important directors in the history of Egyptian cinema". Shams Al-Baroudi
Shams al-Muluk Gamil al-Baroudi ( ar, شمس الملوك جميل البارودي) is a retired Egyptian actress who was active in Egyptian films and also Lebanese films during the 1960s and 1970s. Nour Al-Sherif
Nour El-Sherif ( ar, نور الشريف; 28 April 1946 – 11 August 2015), born Mohamad Geber Mohamad Abd Allah ( ar, محمد جابر محمد عبد الله) was a prominent Egyptian actor. He has 6 films in the Top 100 Egyptian films list. El-Sherif was born in the working-class neighbourhood of Sayeda Zainab in Cairo. El-Sherif was married to Poussi (1972–2006) and together they had two daughters, Sarah and Mai. He got divorced from Poussi in 2006 and they reunited in early 2015 during the difficulty of his illness. He also played soccer before choosing acting as a career. Nour El-Sherif is sometimes credited as Nour El Cherif, Nour El-Cherif or Nour Al-Sharif. He died on August 11, 2015, Cairo, Egypt. Death Nour El-Sherif died from lung cancer in Cairo at the age of 69 in 2015 after a severe struggle with the disease. Soheir Ramzi (; born 3 March 1950) is an Egyptian actress. Early life and career Her mother is Dorreya Ahmed who is also an actress. Ramzi's first appearance in the cinema when she was approximately six years old, through their appearance in the movie "Sahefet Sawaba" in 1956, but she decided to stop. She worked as an air hostess and then as a model. She returned to cinema in 1969. Ramzi acted in Elnas elly Gwa, Pleasure and Suffering, The Guilty, A Girl Named Mahmoud, Chitchat on the Nile.
