''Playboi Carti'' (commonly referred to as ''Self Titled'') is the debut mixtape by American rapper Playboi Carti. It was released on April 14, 2017, by ASAP Mob, AWGE Label and Interscope Records. The mixtape features music production, production from Pi'erre Bourne, Southside (record producer), Southside and others, and guest appearances from American rappers Lil Uzi Vert, ASAP Rocky, and Dutch singer Leven Kali. The physical version of the mixtape was released on October 6, 2017, and a vinyl edition was released on November 17, 2017. The mixtape was supported by three singles – "Lookin", "Wokeuplikethis", and "Magnolia (song), Magnolia", the third peaking at number 29 on the US Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100. It was Carti's highest-charting single at the time. Release Two singles were released prior to the mixtape's release. Jordan Terrell Carter (born September 13, 1996), known professionally as Playboi Carti, is an American rapper. Carter was initially signed to local underground label Awful Records prior to signing with ASAP Mob's AWGE Label under Interscope Records. After gaining a cult following early in his career, Carter garnered mainstream attention in 2017. Carter's Playboi Carti (mixtape), debut mixtape was released in April 2017, and included the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 charting singles "Magnolia (song), Magnolia" and "Woke Up Like This" (featuring Lil Uzi Vert). His debut studio album ''Die Lit'' (2018) peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200.
