Playahitty was an Italian Eurodance group, best known for the 1994 summer hit " The Summer Is Magic", and also for other popular club tracks, such as " 1-2-3! (Train with Me)". "The Summer Is Magic" is a song by Italian Eurodance group Playahitty, released in July 1994 as their debut single. The lead vocals are performed by Italian singer Giovanna Bersola, as she did for the 1993 hit "The Rhythm of the Night" by Corona. This led to the mistaken belief that "The Summer Is Magic" was another hit song by Corona. The song hit the charts in the summer and autumn of 1994 in several countries of Continental Europe, such as Italy, where it reached number two on the Top 40 singles chart. Giovanna Bersola (born 20 July 1972), better known by her stage name Jenny B, is an Italian singer. Biography Bersola was born in 1972 in Catania, Sicily, Italy, to a Sicilian mother and Senegalese father. In the early years of her music career, she mostly did session work. She is best known for her feature vocal in the Italian Eurodance group Corona's 1993 hit, "The Rhythm of the Night", and also in the Italian Eurodance Playahitty 1994 hit " The Summer Is Magic". Sandra Chambers (born 11 April 1967), also known as Sandy Chambers or simply Sandy, is a British dance music vocalist based in Italy. Career Chambers moved to Italy in 1992 and her voice has been used in many Italian Electronic dance music productions, mainly Eurodance. In the 2000s Chambers has been frequently used by Italian producers Alle and Benny Benassi who she first met when she did the vocals for a track by the Italian dance act J.K., that the Benassis produced.
