Plats Bruts
Plats bruts ({{IPA-ca, ˈpladz ˈβɾuts, literally "Dirty Dishes") was a sitcom broadcast by TV3 (Catalonia), TV3. The show follows the life of Josep Lopes and David Güell. The show was co-produced by Kràmpack, El Terrat and Televisió de Catalunya and directed by Oriol Grau, Lluís Manyoses and Joel Joan. The series, which ran for 73 episodes of between 25 and 30 minutes over six seasons, was broadcast between April 19, 1999 and April 15, 2002. Plats Bruts enjoyed very good ratings from the beginning, reaching up to a million viewers in the second episode broadcast, and achieved an average of over 35% share and 900,000 viewers in Catalonia. Afterwards the series was broadcast on Canal 300 and 3XL and dubbed into Spanish so it could be aired on ''Vía Digital'', a digital platform which a predecessor of Movistar Plus and ETB 2, a channel broadcasting in the Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country. Sitcom
A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy, where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch, and stand-up comedy, where a comedian tells jokes and stories to an audience. Canal 300 () was a Spanish free-to-air television channel operated by Televisió de Catalunya, launched on 28 November 2005 only in DTT as part of TVC's five channel multiplex. 300 only broadcast series and movies previously seen on TV3 and 33/ K3, both of their own production (20% of the schedule) or foreign. Barcelona Dragons (NFL Europe)
The Barcelona Dragons was an American football team that was a part of the World League of American Football and later in the resurrected NFL Europe. Their home field in Barcelona was the Estadi Olímpic de Montjuic, the 1992 Olympic Stadium, and later the Mini Estadi. A messiah complex (Christ complex or savior complex) is a state of mind in which an individual holds a belief that they are destined to become a savior today or in the near future. Eixample
The Eixample (; ) is a district of Barcelona between the old city (Ciutat Vella) and what were once surrounding small towns (Sants, Gràcia, Sant Andreu, etc.), constructed in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Its population was 262,000 at the last census (2005). Catalanism
Catalan nationalism is the ideology asserting that the Catalans are a distinct nation.
